Lightweight and Efficient, with Time-saving DSP!

Expect stellar sound and sonic flexibility from the IPR2 2000 DSP power amplifier. Peavey somehow managed to not only make the IPR Series super-powerful in terms of wattage but also incredibly lightweight, in fact, the lightest in the IPR Series weighs less than seven pounds! Maybe the most exciting fact about the 2-channel IPR2 2000 DSP is that it features handy built-in DSP effects, including Waves Maxx Bass for fat, solid low frequency response. Via a front-panel LCD screen, you'll have recallable access to program-specific EQ presets, delays, and crossover settings - all onboard the Peavey IPR2 2000 DSP.

Groundbreaking IPR Series: Lightweight, efficient, reliable

The IPR2 2000 DSP is a member of Peavey's impressive IPR Series. Peavey went the extra mile in designing this exciting line of power amplifiers. For starters, each IPR Series power amp boasts an extremely light weight; the lightest IPR weighs under seven pounds! Adding to that, Peavey managed to increase output power, reliability, and thermal efficiency, so the IPR2 2000 DSP and all the IPR Series power amps are ready for the most professional of rigs. Each is designed with a resonant switch-mode power supply as well as a high-speed class D topology, yielding incredibly high audio resolution and efficiency.

Built-in DSP lets you recall EQ, delay, and crossover settings

Apart from the appeal of being lightweight, the Peavey IPR2 2000 DSP also sports high-quality built-in digital signal processing. You can use the 32-bit DSP to assign program-specific EQ presets, making it easy to handle common sound-reinforcement EQ treatments. Plus, you can adjust delays, crossover, and stereo/mono settings. The settings are accessed via a front-panel LCD screen. There are even security features, so you can lock your system settings during performances. And, the IPR DSP Series power amplifiers are the only power amps to integrate Waves MaxxBass technology, which creates precise harmonic overtones to give the illusion of added low frequencies.

Peavey's DDT speaker-protection circuitry suite

On top of all-out innovation, the Peavey IPR2 2000 DSP also offers Peavey's exclusive DDT speaker-protection system, with multi-pint clip sampling as well as DC, Temp, Signal, and Active safeguards (all of which are referenced on the front panel via LED indicators).

Peavey IPR2 2000 DSP Power Amplifier Features:
  • Groundbreaking IPR Series power amplifier is lightweight, efficient, and reliable
  • Built-in DSP lets you recall EQ, delay, and crossover settings
  • Peavey-exclusive DDT circuitry protects your speakers
  • High-speed class D topology delivers high resolution
  • Variable-speed fan housed inside lightweight aluminum chassis
  • Fat, powerful bass response even at low volumes thanks to Waves Maxx Bass DSP

Maxx the thump!

I had purchased some Peavey 118s and found my IPR 1600 wasn't bringing the earth shaking thump for the 18's that I had expected. My drummer had thought his kick should shake the building so I opted to get the IPR2 2000 DSP. This thing hits the sweet spot of 400 watt RMS needed by the 118s and has plenty of headroom. The DSP function with the MaxxBass and up to 15db of attenuation dialed up I can keep all of those unwanted frequencies out of the sub. Especially nice are the multiple built in crossovers that dialed up with the easy to use single dial controller. I also liked that each channel can be dialed up for either full range, high, or sub - unlike other brands that split those duties between the two channels. With multiport entry and 1/4" throughput jacks I can easily bring a single input and send it out both sides. This unit is so light that paired with a 19" power conditioner in a 6U case made it easy to carry around to gigs, even with the 50 ft 12 ga Speakon cables stuffed into the case!
