    Good classic tone

I installed this on an Ibanez hollowbody to replace the stock pickups. The stock pickups were weak and lacked the warmth I was looking for in a "jazz box". With the '57 Classic I am now able to get good jazzy tones out of my guitar. At first the sound was brighter than what I wanted, but after a couple of tweaks with the volume and tone controls I was able to get a balanced warm tone.

    Sweet Tone

So, I recieved a PRS Semi Hollow in a trade and really liked the fit and finish of the guitar. I've been moving towards Jazz lately and just found the stock pickups lacking. I replaced the neck with the 57 classic and the bridge with the 57 classic plus. Yeah, sweet tone. Worth the money, even to have them professionally installed. That is if you dig the tone. Basically neck=jazz bridge=blues weird but true both=twang

the tone I was looking for

I bought a used 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio with stock 490 & 496 pick ups in. I was disappointed. Sure it sounded great, just too bright for my sound. To be honest my Epiphone LP Standard sounded so much sweeter, closer to the tone I was looking for. So I decided to try the '57 Classic. I was blown away. The tone I was looking for. It might not be for everybody, but with the right amp settings it can go from singing sweet melodies to shredding with the hottest slinger around.
