Sculpt the tones you need on the go

Don't let the size of the Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 20 fool you - this is a feature-packed portable amp. You get six amplifier voicings that will cover everything from smooth ballads to heavy, down-tuned metal. And once you sprinkle in a dose of effects, the sound you hear in your head will come out of your amp. Blackstar's Super Wide Stereo technology gives your chorus, delay, and other effects a huge, lush stereo field. The ID:Core Stereo 20 also utilizes Blackstar's patented ISF control, so you can really nail the amp tones you're after.

Blackstar's ISF gives you a wide tonal range

You can create virtually any classic guitar tone you can imagine with the ID:Core Stereo 20 combo, thanks to Blackstar's patented ISF control. ISF lets you adjust the response of the entire tone stack in the ID:Core Stereo 20, letting you shape tones to match the sound of different amplifier types. This means you can re-create the sounds of classic American amps, British amps, or even create your own combination of the two. The ID:Core Stereo 20's ISF knob is something we at Sweetwater know most guitar players will appreciate.

Perfect mobile amp for recording and listening

The Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 20 is much more than just a guitar amp. A dedicated stereo aux in lets you plug in your MP3 player, so you can jam along with your favorite tunes or just listen to music. If you get the urge to record, the ID:Core Stereo 20 has a speaker-emulated line output, allowing you to hook right up to your recorder or audio interface and record silently. A handy USB jack lets you record straight to your computer without any other hardware. It also lets you easily tweak and save presets via your computer with Blackstar's free INSIDER software.

Black star stays

I'm a drummer but started being drawn to those great planks of wood with strings on them 30 years ago and i'm hooked .My amps are Tubeworks 150 watt head 2x10 cab,Blackstar all tube stage amp Yorkville acoustic made in canada 150 watt solid state and the 10 watt blackstar. The Blackstar amps beat anything i've had or have now i'd say there working on an acoustic about now. I am going to get this 20 watt for sure, i've already tested the little brother, there just great amps any way you slice um!

Sounds HUGE!

After buying a Blackstar HT-5T tube mini-stack, I had to try out the ID:Core 20 with its built in effects. The stereo on this amp is amazing. Delays sound like they are coming from different areas of the room. Reverb sounds great as well (along with the other effects). I use this little amp to solo with jam tracks. It's a lot of fun and it sounds great. I've had plenty of practice amps over the past 30 years and nothing compares with with the Blackstar Core:ID.

I'll give this amp 5 stars all day long. I can't understand how such an amazing amp can be so inexpensive. I have three tube amps, 2x Marshals & 1x Peavey. I'd like to think I can differentiate between a quality amp and junk. I use my 2 larger (half stack) tube amps for recording and playing live. My smaller combo is great for portability if I'm away from my studio. The Blackstar CORE 20 is perfect for everything else.I've been using the Blackstar CORE 20 for travel and for when I want to play somewhere in my house other than in my studio. The amp is super portable and honestly, at this price, I'm not really too concerned about it getting beat up. Most importantly, it sounds fantastic! The Blackstar software allowed me to quickly and easily dial in some voicings that sound amazing. I really can't say enough how surprisingly good this thing sounds. Also, the stereo delay effect blows me away. The speakers, I kid you not, sound like they're 5 feet apart.I love the aux input which allows the use of an ipod. I can plug in the iphone and jam along to my itunes anywhere. If you're new to guitar and looking for a starter amp, this has far better tone and features than other amps at this price point. If you've already invested in top of the line amp gear, this thing is an outstanding addition. I've got to give it to my sales person, Ed Needler, for making sure I was given great customer service. Great value, great tone.

First off, I'm not a beginner. I'm 52 and have seriously been playing guitar since I was 13. By my freshman year in HS had saved enough for Gibson Les Paul ( was about $750 in 1978!) I have owned tons of Amps...everything from a 71 Marshall Superlead, a early 80s JMP, Sunn, a custom built JTM45 a 1967 Fender Bassman....I could go on, but you get the idea...I've had lots of amps!I was looking for a decent at home practice amp. My last attempt at modeling amps was a line 6, and IMO; was sterile.I had purchased a Marshall class 5 several years back...was lacking...and pretty loud for 5 watts...but the tone was too thin. After some research and watching many youtube videos I decided to give it a try.I'm so glad I did!! Out of the box the amp sounds great...very useable tones, but connected to your pc...bam! You get even more flexibility with insider software. The stereo effects are nice, and make this sound huge! You could use this amp for small clubs, maybe even in a worship band IF mic'd into the PA or even di out.I play a Les Paul with custom pickups ( a 7.3 Alinco 4 neck, a 7.8 alnico 5 bridge), a Tele with GFS professional pickups, and a Strat with Fender Texas specials. All three guitars sound wonderful in this amp and each keep their own unique characteristics. Because of this amp, I will purchase the ID: 260 TVP and retire my Bassman ( main amp for last few years...biased and retubed with JJ 6V6s for lower wattage).Buy this won't regret it! And Sweetwater had great customer service and super fast shipping !!!
