Both musicians and audiophiles will love this product!
I'm an amatuer beat maker, who also recently got into the audiophile scene, and I must say that both musicians and consumer audiophiles will find great satisfaction from this headphone amp. Before I bought this amp, I had purchased the Sennheiser HD650's which were my 1st pair of high impedance headphones. Prior to me attaining the HD650's, I was mainly using 2 different pairs of cans from Audio Technica's line of hi-res headphones, which had impedances of 35 ohms and 42 ohms, both of which I was pairing with either an Apogee Groove DAC-Amp or Fiio E12 Mont Blanc to get best sound out of them (which they sound incredible with btw!). But even though both of these amps definitely have an adequate enough amount of power to drive cans with impedances of up to 600 ohms, the truth of the matter is both of them sound best when paired with cans that have impedances below 300ohms, because if you're like me and like to push the volume of what you're listening to past 110db, there's a slight drop off in quality when used with higher impedance cans.
While scouring the internet for an amp to pair with the HD650's, I came across a promotion video on YouTube with the drummer from Korn for the Aphex Headpod 4, and in the video he said that this headphone amp has enough power to drive headphones with impedances up to 1000ohms! Of course watching the video, i gathered that if this amp has enough power to drive 1000ohms, then there's a good chance that it'll have way more than enough to drive 300ohms, and after researching the full specs i finally pulled the trigger and bought the amp on Sweetwater. And I must say, I'm more than happy with this purchase! Not only does this amp have more than enough power to get the full potential out of the HD650's and anything else that's plugged into it, but the ridiculously high resolution frequency response (10hz -120,000hz) ensures that you'll have an accurate listening experience with the most detailed soundstage possible, especially when you include a high quality DAC (whether its from an audio interface or a dedicated DAC) to the audio chain.
