Blackstar HT-5RS Mini Amp Stack at a Glance:
  • Classic all-tube tone
  • A chameleon of tone
  • Dual extension cabinets for big sound
Classic all-tube tone

The Blackstar HT-5RS mini amp stack gives you killer all-tube guitar tone at non-lethal levels. Push the power section to get that sought-after overdrive sound without your significant other yelling at you to turn it down. Designed to bring you the best of both worlds, the HT-5RS's unique ISF control can dial in British and American tones. The unique push-pull amp design uses two tubes, a 12AX7 and a 12BH7. Get the real tube tones you want with the Blackstar HT-5RS mini amp stack!

A chameleon of tone

Looking for even more tonal flexibility? Blackstar also gave the HT-5RS mini amp stack their exclusive ISF control (ISF stands for Infinite Shape Feature). Using it in conjunction with your bass, middle, and treble controls, you can nail the exact tonal signature you want. When turned fully counterclockwise, you'll have more of an American characteristic to your voice, with a tight bottom end and aggressive middle. Turned all the way to the right, you'll enjoy more of a British vibe, with a woodier sound that's less aggressive. However you dial in the Blackstar HT-5RS between the two, you'll enjoy a musical response that just asks to be taken onstage or into the studio.

Dual extension cabinets for big sound

Push some serious air with the HT-5RS's dual 1 x 12" extension cabinets! Custom-designed Blackbird 12" speakers were created for use with the Blackstar HT5 series amps. From smooth and sultry cleans to screaming, unbridled distortion, the Blackbird speakers will give you the best sound you can get from the HT-5RS head.

Blackstar HT-5RS Mini Amp Stack Features:
  • Killer guitar tone at lower volumes
  • All-tube head for classic guitar tones
  • Dual 1 x 12" extension cabinets for a mini stack
  • Innovative ISF control to change amp voicing

Stoked for this Stack

Could not be happier with this setup. Perfect for home use. Flexible. Great sounding and nice variety. Absolutely loving it.

Mini but sounds MIGHTY!

I bought this little stack a few years ago and I'm just as impressed today as the day I bought it. I was buying a new LP and bought the amp the same day I was trying out the new guitar in the store. I've been playing tor over 30 years and I've owned lots of gear. This one's a keeper!

Mini Stack with Mega sound!

This is a fantastic setup, with a good clean channel and terrific gain channel, and lots of volume for a 5 watt amp. The reverb is great too. I have the HT-5R combo, which does sound great, but the mini stack is much beefier, fuller, louder, probably due to having two 1x12 cabinets, and the cabinets are bigger than the combo cabinet. I have tried the amp with 2x12s, and a 4x12 and it is surprising how loud it can get. With the ISF and gain control, it can get great drive at lower volumes also. I can't say enough good things about the HT-5RS, and I recommend trying one for yourself. It looks so freakin' cool also, the "mini stack" is a great idea. I now have four B* amps, and I was hooked after the first one (HT Studio 20). B* has done a great job with this one, I am extremely happy with it.

The Blackstar HT5R Mini Stack

This 5 watt head has all the features of a much more expensive tube amp. The effects loop and emulated line out work well with all my pedals and effects. The mp3 out allows for awesome practice sessions. This is a very powerful amp for 5 watts. Mic it and its good for gigs. The overall tone has a thick richness and is very cutting in a band setting. Plenty of gain to run dry without an OD/Dis. pedal, but if ultra high gain is needed, a good distortion pedal will push it over the top. Clean channel is better than average but really needs a boost to come alive. I find most amps lacking in features and or tone in this price range, but honestly i'm blown away with the sound this head puts out. Sweetwater also had this at my door within days and offer great service if needed. A great buy.

I just miss the MARSHALL sound!!!!

It is good but absolutely not perfect. It is like a demo of what 2000$ stacks sound like but it is not the real deal.I use it with a LP Standard and really miss the MARHALL sound. it is not there... not with the ISF not with amp modeling... Apologies to Marshall and promise to come back soon.
