This Modern LP Plays Fast and Precise

The Les Paul Studio 2016 HP combines classic LP sound and looks with modern Gibson technology. Two humbuckers with attitude team up with a premium carved maple top and mahogany body to give you that fat, syrupy roar and sustain for weeks. G-Force automatic tuning makes it easy to experiment with alternate tunings and is great for fast tune-ups between songs. The modern Soloist neck profile sets a wider playing foundation, perfect for fast playing and frantic fretwork. From Jimmy Page to Slash, generations of guitarists have relied on the Les Paul to deliver their musical message - deliver yours with the Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP solidbody electric guitar.

Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Plek'd for precision playability
  • Slim neck profile with wider Soloist neck width
  • Pickups deliver true Les Paul sound - and then some
  • Dip switches give you access to over 100 tonal options
Plek'd for precision playability

This Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to Plek processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.

Slim neck profile with wider Soloist neck width

The Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP sports a fast, wide neck with a slim profile, perfect for modern players who push the speed limit. The wider Soloist neck width gives you more room for big bends and tapping than the traditional LP neck width. It's a great balance for players who love Les Paul tone but prefer a faster, thinner neck.

Pickups deliver true Les Paul sound - and then some

The Les Paul Studio 2016 HP features 490R (rhythm) and 498T (treble) pickups. These Modern Classic pickups feature tonal characteristics similar to the '57 Classic but deliver a slight increase in the upper mids, for a more contemporary humbucking sound. And there's more! The volume knobs feature a push-pull configuration that allows you to choose between classic humbucking tones and snappy single-coil sounds. Sweetwater can confirm this Les Paul has the classic sounds you want and expect from a Gibson.

Dip switches give you access to over 100 tonal options

The Gibson HPs are some of the most sonically versatile electric guitars Gibson has ever offered. The volume controls on the Les Paul Studio 2016 HP are a push-pull design, and five internal dip switches determine how these controls work. By setting these dip switches to your preference you can access coil-splits and coil-taps, a highpass filter for each pickup, determine if you want the pickups to be in or out of phase, and even engage a transient supression circuit for avoiding unwanted output peaks when recording direct.

Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • USA-made Les Paul with weight-relieved body and flexible electronics
  • Classic mahogany body and maple top deliver singing sustain
  • Tune up fast and precise with G-Force automated tuning
  • Modern weight relief lightens the load without sacrificing tone
  • Slim neck profile and Soloist neck width create a fast, precise feel for modern players
  • Fast-access heel improves access to upper frets
  • Adjustable titanium zero-fret nut allows you to fine-tune your action
  • 490R and 498T pickups kick out smoky humbucker tones
  • Innovative dip switches give you over 100 options for customizing your sound
  • Push-pull controls allow coil tapping for single-coil tones
Take your playing to new heights with the Gibson Les Paul Studio 2016 HP!
