Resonant Tone with Incredible Sustain

The Washburn HB35 semi-hollowbody electric guitar is a prime example of how versatile these semi-acoustic instruments can be. You get the warm, resonant sound you'd expect from a hollowbody, with enhanced sustain and note definition from the maple center block. The center block reduces resonant feedback too, one reason Sweetwater thinks it's great for the stage. For tonal flexibility, two humbuckers with their own volume and tone controls are ready to rock. Long story short, you've got a great guitar for almost any style when you're holding the Washburn HB35 semi-hollowbody.

Washburn HB35 Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Long maple center block enhances your tone
  • Elegant appointments throughout
  • Since 1883, Washburn has been producing exceptional instruments
Long maple center block enhances your tone

You get a lot of tonal bang for your buck with the Washburn HB35, thanks in part to its maple center block. The center block allows the otherwise-hollowbody to resist resonant-frequency feedback. That means you can rock out louder, with more gain, without your amplifier squealing out of control. Maple is a snappy tonewood that enhances your note definition, clarity, and sustain.

Elegant appointments throughout

Washburn designed the HB35 semi-hollowbody with a decidedly vintage vibe. Multi-laminate binding adorns the body, F-holes, and fretboard for an incredibly smooth appearance. While it plays incredibly well, it doesn't hurt that the HB35 is a great-looking guitar too.

Since 1883, Washburn has been producing exceptional instruments

Best Bang For Your Bucks 335

Thanks to Jason Koons and the Sales Staff I get treated Like I'm a VIP when I buy here, I'm just an average Joe but get treated like a Rock Star, I love that, Don't Change Sweetwater. I got this Washburn H35 a week or so ago and I've played it every day. I cant put it down. I had another Company's version of a 335 but was not happy with it. It gave me an okay working relationship like a hand tool would but I wanted a Better 335 and didn't want to blow 3g on a "Real Deal" 335. Pictures look wonderful and I suffer from eye candy disorder so after talking with Jason asking questions and getting wonderful advise about 335's in general (I don't everything) and I trust Jason, I ordered it. I got it Fast Clean in New Condition and gave it a quick tune pluged it in and can't stop playing it. You like this type of guitar or you don't but I am a Les Paul \ Gibson player and this is a very good Guitar for the Money you pay for it. It's not a high end solid wood fancy Gibson version but it's been my experience that at about this price range you start to get a nicer guitar then a hundred or 2 lower. and Washburn has packed a lot of good quality into this guitar cutting back in the areas needed to produce a fine quality very usable guitar BUT the best part is I get that Guitar Joy My Musical inner self looks for as I play a guitar. If it don't give me Joy it's not good for me. Fit and Finish on this guitar is a 9.5 about as good as it should be for this price range, Not a bad rating 10 is reserved for a 3g Guitar. Looks are a 10 Mine is a Tobacco Sunburst. Build quality is a Solid Big old 10 Nothing wrong with this guitar. Split block inlays are cool I like them and the neck inlay around the outer edge of the fingerboard is a cool look. Pickups and hardware are a solid 10 it sounds like anything you push it towards. Machine Tuners are Very Very Good another big old 10 stays in tune very good quality. HAY you get a case with it that would cost IMO around the 2 hundred dollars more area. its a 10 too. after owning it I still would pay this kind of money for just the guitar and be Happy. BUT No Guitar is worth any kind of money if the Neck is poorly made. This neck is a 9.75 with again a 10 going to a 3g version my H35 came perfectly factory Reset up By the Sweetwater's FREE 55 point Evaluation I have been a fan of this 55 point check up and then ship it out to customers after becoming a loyal Sweetwater customer I can rest easy knowing that when it arrives to me It will pass My inspection of receiving a new Guitar. Did I set it up? / Answer: Yes / Why you ask? We all play and have different playing levels. Nothing was wrong with the setup but I prefer my Guitars set up with a low action and I use Super Slinky EB 9's. So after 2 days I removed the Strings put my Favorite Strings on her and set it up for my playing style and was SO HAPPY to know the neck was a fine good guitar neck with no Buzz or rattle and no dead spots everything is dead spot on with intonation and action that gives my great Joy to play this guitar. This is what I look for in a Guitar. My personal taste is I do not care for Gold trimming because it just never lasts long or stays as nice looking as long a Chrome. I understand why they used gold on this guitar with the color of the guitar it matches it well but My hand is almost always on the Left or top part of the Bridge when I play as well as the rest of the bridge when needed for palm muting and the thin gold chrome get rubbed off fast. so I'm not sure how it will fare out yet cause this seams to me to be another area builders cut back on for a cheaper bottom line. Remember this is a Semi Hollowbody guitar and it Will Feedback vibrate easier then a solid body guitar. To me this is a Plus and with thought as you play it can be very easily controlled and used to your advantage when needed. If you know going into buying this guitar at this price range that you are a fan and like a 335 style guitar then I feel you will be as happy as I am with this Washburn H35 If you buy it from Sweetwater. I'm a Sweetwater Customer for life. Ever been to there store? I have from Ohio and It's a Awesome adventure. They are as nice and friendly and open as they are on the phone. Great Cafeteria really good food.
