The only stand to buy

The only stand to buy. These stands are solid, don't tip over, hold any size guitar from huge bass to bass, portable, strong, cords never get caught. Everything else is mickey mouse. Seriously, these stands are the only ones I will buy after having one of my fine guitars fall over for no reason.

Very Good Guitar Stand

I ordered this guitar stand to have a place to set my Taylor between practice sessions at home so I didn't have to hang it back on the wall while I ran to grab something. And I sometimes grew tired of manually placing the rubber "gate" of other stands across the neck of the guitar every time I set my axe on it. If I ever bumped my stand and sent my Taylor toppling over I just might cry! No need to worry! This stand is very stable and I love the automatic grip that holds the neck of the guitar securely every time you set it in place. I researched other stands (some cheaper, some more expensive) and this one seemed to have the quality I was looking for at a price I could live with. My stand came very well packaged and shipped. And Phil Schwan at Sweetwater is as helpful as he possibly can be. Great product and wonderful service! You did it again Sweetwater!

On Stage Stand

This holds my 9 lb. bass up very well. Not very easy to transport around a room...if you hold the guitar by the neck then the clamp disengages. You have to hold the support bar and neck of guitar.I guess that might just be me,though. Overall, its well worth the price.

On Stage Pro Grip Guitar Stand

High quality, studio/spare bedroom guitar stand - easily adjusted, sturdy and good looking. Good price for well designed stand. IMO the build "duty" level if the mechanism of hanging at the neck would break on the first load-in/load-out in a bag with other stands, if used in a working musicians environment. Simple tube stands regularly fail in this environment - the lack of "beef" in the hanging/retaining headstock clasp gets this stand off the road and in the rehearsal studio for life. This is not to say that at around $40 - this stand is not an incredible value, it is. Just that, if in and out of clubs/bars/showrooms, this item would be tested beyond it's design limits.

Completely Sold on On-Stage Stands

I already own a number of the GS7655 and GS5000 folding stands from On-Stage Stands and I'm completely satisfied with them. Before I bought the Hang-It ProGrip II, I originally purchased an adjustable stand from another manufacturer that just didn't work as advertised. I emailed the people at On-Stage Stands and asked for a recommendation for my Flying V and they recommended this stand and one other. I bought one of these stands to try it out and it worked out perfectly, so much so, that I purchased two more for my Explorer and Firebird. If you own an odd shaped instrument that won't sit in a normal stand, you might want to consider this.
