Bargain of the Decade at least
I had tried one of these before I ordered so I had an idea of the playability. My trust in the seeller and the fact that I only paid $299 without haggling are the only reasons I did not get it from Sweetwater. Even so you get your money's worth and more even at the SW price. I was prepared for the (perceived) difference between the . I was NOT prepared for how well the positives of the Gretsch held up against the Martin which continues to exceed my expectations. The Gretsch has its own sound and difference in volume is partly solved with heavier strings. I have no regrets about buying either of these guitars and am surprised how strongly that applies to the Gretsch. It's a great playing good sounding guitar that's price to consider getting a backup and also priced to be within the range of affordibility should the unthinkable occur.
