Poor mechanical Fit

Electronically, these work as expected. However, I purchased (4) of these Male/Male XLR couplers and found that all of them had undersized shell inner diameters. That makes them extremely tight when used with any XLR connectors. All of my cables use properly sized (I've measured them) Neutrik connectors. They are difficult to insert into the Hosa adapters and are even more difficult to remove. The (4) I received seem to have excessively thick plating on the shell inside diameter. Since I rarely need these, I'll keep them, but I would not want to use them everyday. I've generally found Hosa products to work fine, and to be reasonably priced, but these are the exception. If you have a XLR(female) connector that is slightly over-sized (like some of the cheap Chinese versions), these won't fit.

It's Hosa, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. These don't for me. Not sure if this is true for all XLRs from Neutrik now, but the little ridge on the female side is too big for the notch on these adapters. Housing also seems pretty tight into non-ridged female connectors. Maybe will work with Switchcraft connectors. Could always pull out the pins from the housing, but definitely not a reliable connection. A bit disappointed, but it is Hosa, so not entirely surprised.
