Gator Gig Box

Despite the previous review from some one else. This gig box does everything it was designed to do. Hold stomp boxes in place and provide a power source for them. Wah pedals Volume pedals are meant to be located outside the confines of this carry case ON THE STAGE FLOOR ! That means they will not be in the way of the phaser/flanger/tremolo/chorus etc. They will be independently located and isolated from the rest of the signal chain and much more convenient to use an operate ! Love It!

No idea why I've never seen anyone use this product... thought it was kind'of a no brainer / great idea for a typical club rig. So here's the skinny after a handful of gigs with this thing. So far so good. Pros: Pretty sturdy, no issues with cheapness / build quality thus far. Basement to truck, bang around a bit to gig, step all over it during gig, back to truck, to basement about 20 times so far, no probs yet. You throw it around and pack poorly on a 50 city tour... yea prolly not gonna survive, but... Great to have three stands built in, no more extra stands to bring. Power supply cable is fine. Just mount the brick to the board and take the cable out for transport and you'll be golden in typical use cases. ONE HUGE CON: DOES NOT FIT LES PAUL very well in rack. The bridge on my / typical Les Paul makes the guitar a tad too think to fit nicely in the electric guitar slots of the guitar rack. I mean, it'll kind'a fit — hangs over the the side a bit, and is resting on the bridge — but LP's work better in the single acoustic slot that is provided. Kind'a a downside there if you have a LP and an acoustic in your quiver. (Not an hard fix though if you want to some custom carving out of one of the slots, but not great right out of the box.) You do need some sort of separate padding to help secure the pedals in place and keep them from flopping around in transport. They provide it for you, but it may need to switched out customized to your pedals etc. Hums a bit, haven't been able to confirm if it's the power supply, the venues or some nasty pedals, but... Either way, for the price, it's totally worth it. I really like it.

Not well made.

Latches cheaply made. Wouldn't trust it to hold my equipment. Sent it back.

Waste of money

How many guitar players dont use a wah? Not that many I would imagine. Well if you do you can forget it with this pedal board. I could not get the lid closed with a standard crybaby sized wah on it. Additionally it feels very cheaply made and the cord for the power supply was junk. Sending in back ASAP.
