Ultra-portable acoustic

Taylor's award-winning GS Mini-E Mahogany is a scaled-down version of their ever-popular Grand Symphony guitar shape. With a total length of just over 36", the GS Mini-E Mahogany is a guitar you can easily easily pack in any vehicle, haul on the subway, or even in overhead compartments on planes. Perfect for camping, festivals, or just hauling long distances, the GS Mini-E Mahogany is a compact guitar with big tone that can go everywhere you go.

Small in stature, but big in sound

Even with its diminutive size the Taylor GS Mini-E Mahogany guitar has a big sound. To put it simply, it is a cannon. You'll be surprised at how big and full the GS Mini-E Mahogany sounds. Think of the GS mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, the perfect size to make it easy to haul around, but still with a rich, full sound.

Quality construction and materials

Taylor has a reputation for quality guitars and materials and the GS Mini-E Mahogany is no exception. This model features a tropical mahogany top and laminate sapele back and sides. Both woods are durable and produce great tone. The mahogany top is not as bright as a spruce top but has a full, rich sound with a little extra punch. The laminate sapele back and sides of the GS Mini-E Mahogany deliver a great rich tone while adding durability and stability to the guitar. The ebony fretboard and bridge offer great tone and even more stability to this amazing little guitar.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into your GS Mini-E Mahogany acoustic guitar. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the GS Mini-E Mahogany's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

Great sounding guitar.

Hearing good things about Taylor GS Mini I decided to purchase one from Sweetwater thru my Sales Engineer, Sean Geyer. I picked the mahogany top since I already have 2 acoustics with spruce tops. You'll definitely notice the difference in tone with mahogany. The sound is somewhat warmer and the bass is definitely deeper sounding. I love the tone it produces and playability due to its smaller size. It has ES2 Electronics but for me it was almost not necessary. The sound plays big without it. It comes with 13-56 medium strings and took a while getting use to it. My acoustics have light strings. Overall it's a great guitar and you'll love it. And you'll love working with Sweetwater. This was my fifth guitar from Sweetwater and they'll always treat you right.
