Good product. I wish the wheels were larger, because the bag drags on the floor unless you hold it almost upright.

    Good Concept

The bag is the right size and concept for my needs and the zippers "seem" to be sturdy enough. However, after only two gigs, the reality set in. The wheels are way too close together so when rolling, if you bump something (like a door frame), it rolls over and you end up dragging it for a second. The canvas material is so thin, one roll-over and you have worn a hole in it in that second. The front handle is mounted too high and you have to keep lifting and bending your arm while rolling, or you end up dragging everything. The inside end panel is WAY too weak. It broke up on the first gig. The inside bottom panel is way to thin and there is no spine support. This causes the bag to curve so much that the middle drags when you hold up on the front handle while "TRYING" to roll it somewhere. I overhauled the bag, because it is the best configuration for me. I installed an aluminum spine so the bag doesn't curve; installed new wheels (skateboard type) with a wider spread; long wedges between the back skids and the bag, allowing smooth drag up stairs. So, being the bag was one of the cheaper ones, I guess I got what I paid for. When the skin finally wears off too much to use anymore, I will go ahead and pay the extra bucks and get a more durable bag. Even at that, I still bet I will have to modify the wheels; backing and handles. Do engineers and designers listen to us?

    Do not recommend.

I do not recommend this bag if the convenience of the wheels is what you are looking for. I have used the Road Runner bag for several years and needed to replace it, so I chose the Gator bag because the wheels looked sturdier. However, the placement of the wheels on the bag, and the lack of an addition handle lower on the handle side of the bag, provide for a bad design. While pulling on its wheels, you need to raise the handle well above the comfort/ergonomic level for the wheels to even take effect. Basically, the bottom of the bags drags unless you pull the handle side really high which is very inefficient and uncomfortable when your bag is loaded with heavy stands and you are carrying other equipment in your other hands. I am going back to the Road Runner bag.
