I love this bag

I bought mine around 2007. Got a great deal, $120 back then. My main reason for choosing it was that you don't have to get down on the floor to load and unload it. And you don't have to break your stands down to their smallest length. I was immediately amazed by the wheels! Mine has a rip at the bottom now, from having to get it into and out of the trunk of a small car for about 3 years. I will probably buy another one.

This bag holds up.

This bag solves a lot of problems. It's tall enough to pack stands at set-up height - big time saver. It's light enough to not add weight to the already heavy metal it carries. Gator worked out access to the gear and the pocket designs in a well thought out way. The cart frame is strong, the handle is a great height for balance as you drag it, and the way the frame angles out from the wheel axle back to frame at the bag creates a really usable stair climbing capability. It climbs stairs better than any dolly I've ever used - and I really didn't believe it would when I first saw the size of the wheels. They look too small to work that way. But they do. Some reviewers have expressed concern that the wheels might not hold up. Others may be concerned with how long a canvas bag will hold up carrying heavy gear. Here's my experience. I bought one of these bags in 2010 and have used it for 150 dates a year as a traveling gigger since. I bought another in 2015 - because the first bag was finally wearing out - sort of. I was putting my kick pedal in the side pocket. Very convenient. But it's sharp edges finally did a job on the canvas at the seams. The frame - and the wheels - were (are) still in great shape! Actually, the rest of the bag and all the zippers are still great. So I got about 750 gigs out of it and all I really needed was a new bag pocket. Here's where it gets interesting. I called a Gator tech to ask how I could buy just a new bag (the frame and wheels are just fine!) - and he volunteered that the bag is (AMAZINGLY) lifetime guaranteed! - as long as it wore out at a seam (it doesn't cover abrasion wear on the fabric.) I explained the kick pedal thing and he still said it was covered. THE ONLY PROBLEM was, it required the warranty card that came with it and the store receipt to claim the warranty. I lost my receipt. (DON'T LOSE YOUR RECEIPT.) The tech also said they don't sell the bag separately, In the end, I was happy to buy another cart complete. I can use the old cart with another kit. ONE ISSUE: the small bolts that hold the frame together have nuts that can loosen and fall off. I realized that early on and bought some extras to double-nut them (locking them in place). Problem solved. I don't know why Gator doesn't address that with lock nuts at least. I like this drum cart.

Gator DrumCart

Hey I know its just a hardware case, but this thing is great for those distant load=ins. Wheels are great. Rigid frame makes this thing effortless. Even the guitar player said it was nice!
