I love this guitar! I have played various Martin guitars and then I saw this one and immediately fell in love with it. Then I played it and it sounded amazing. I am so happy I got it before it became unavailable. It is a beautiful guitar and definitely one of a kind. You would not find a better looking/sounding guitar for the price. If someone offered me $10,000 for the guitar, I still wouldn’t sell it. I’ve had this guitar for a little over a year and I am still super satisfied with it.

WOW! I cannot believe I got this guitar for what I paid for it. Especially when you consider that Koa has become endangered and it's harvesting is closely monitored. Everywhere I go people want to know where I got it. I have been offered quite a bit more than I paid for it. Considering that Martin will not make more of them, there is no chance I will ever sell it unless I run into financial distress.

You can look at the pictures yourself so all I will say is Sweetwater's photographers are good but it looks even better in person (If it were a person).

The sound is tight and crisp; exactly what I wanted considering that I have dark hands. Being a Martin, you know it packs plenty of volume. I simply love the ring of koa and the sitka top ain't bad either. The guitar is comfortable to hold and easy to fret.

I like everything about this guitar and just become more and more fond of it every day. I try not to think about how I would feel if something happened to it.

Do Yourself a Favor: Go For It!

I missed out on this not to long ago and ended up finding a similar Martin (custom) since this was backordered at that time. I already own a Koa and even though I do not have this particular wood with my Martin it is the same (GPCPA) series (also a beautiful amber burst). This is an opportunity worth taking. The electronics are great and Koa has a bloom that over the years sounds better with time! Martin lives up to its name so do yourself a favor and go fot it!

The Martin Performing Artist GPCPA4 Koa

Solid Koa Back and Sides, Ebony Fretboard and Bridge, Solid Spruce Top, and The Fishman F1 Analog Electronics made this deal a Dream. These guitars are Pleked at the factory! The tone and the note definition is as clear as a bell. Playing this acoustically is awesome, and it sounds just as great amplified. Beautiful Guitar !

I had been wanting a Martin guitar for a long time, when I saw this one listed at Sweetwater I new this was the one I had been waiting for. This guitar looks, sounds and plays great. To me, it has a very balanced sound from low to high. The action was almost perfect right out the box.
The staff at Sweetwater did a great job.

    My Favorite Guitar

Beautiful sweet and warm sounding instrument. Perfect balance between a OM and Dreadnought. Neck is easy to play, overtones and resonance is so rich and full. Koa and spruce are a great match.
Martins standard action is to high for me, no problem a little saddle sanding and it is perfect. This is the guitar I will use on my next CD,
a joy to play for finger picking, strumming, and leads.

    Awesome Koa Martin

The flamed Koa (gloss) back and sides and quartersawn Sitka Spruce top with Amberburst finish, and the flamed Koa headstock overlay were strikingly beautiful as I lifted it out of the case for the first time. The loud tonally balanced voice and the ebony fingerboard and bridge were what I noticed next. The action is perfect and the awesome electronics are icing on the cake; reasonable price and helpful sales staff, too.
