Watch my demo: YouTube Search "cedric roland ipad"

Go to YouTube and search "cedric roland ipad" to watch my professional demo of the Roland Go:Mixer. What you'll hear is the KORG Kronos 2, Nord Keyboards C2D organ, and Akai Professional MPC Touch. All three instruments are recorded stereo into my iPad Pro, using the Roland Go:Mixer.

It feels like I waited an eternity for this product to be released!

The Go:Mixer works (plug-in-play) with the default Camera App on iPhone and iPad. Go get this awesome product!

    Roland GO:MIXER

I recently bought Roland's TD-25 v-Drums from Sweetwater. I was looking for a way to record them straight into my iPhone, so I contacted my man Wayne at Sweetwater.

In less than an hour, he located this and saved me a TON of searching for a solution. Needless to say, if you've shopped with Sweetwater before, you'll know their customer services is unparalleled.

Once the GO:MIXER arrived, I hooked it up and it worked beautifully straight away; no configuring, no tinkering — right out of the box.

The sound quality is stunning as well.

This thing is amazing and a steal at this price!

Solid and simple. Great for video, not overdubs.

Fast setup. It gets sound into the device with no effort. Videos now have excellent audio. Everyone needs to be aware that you CANNOT overdub in a DAW or looper app with this hardware. ALL audio passing through it, including audio coming from an App, gets passed through to the recorded track. That means that if you want to add a track, whatever you play is going to have the backing track in the signal.

Great product but still needs some work

Excellent little handy product from Roland! I myself will probably not be using some of the features like the line-in center canceling for instance but do indeed find it useful for people looking to do karaoke style covers.

The cord provided to go from the mixer to your smartphone is far too short in my opinion. After attaching this to say, a camera tripod, i'd have to get a velcro strap or something to hold it on to the stand and keep the audio cables attached securely as well.

Lastly, regarding the audio quality. It is very good, but could be better. I still had to considerably push the gain up coming from a Mackie Profx mixer to get it to come through. My iRig2 can take a quieter signal and do more with it before distortion. Either way this is a handy product and will provide immediate quality content with a bit of tinkering and experience from testing it.

    Does the job

Works great using headphone output from my desk mixer and monitoring through the Go mixer. One issue is the cable it comes with is way too short so it dangles off your phone if you are shooting video while holding it. Thankfully lighting extension cables work with it so now I have 6 feet of movement and it stays on the desk.

Versatile, but the audio out weak.

This is a versatile little mixer that connects to IOS and Android devices, but its Achillies' heel is its weak audio output. Its output did fine with my Samsung phone, but a little too weak with the iPad Air. In fact, the audio out of the of iPad Air was much stronger than the Go-Mixer output. Also, I thought that for the price, Roland should have thrown in MIDI in and out.
