Guild M-40E Troubadour Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural Reviews
In the folksy 1960s, Guild F-20 acoustic guitars were everywhere, from The Bitter End to Woodstock. Crafted in Guild's Oxnard, Calif.-based factory, the M-40E Troubadour brings back the glory days. Designed by Guild master luthier Ren Ferguson with a proprietary bracing pattern and other cutting-edge refinements, this all-solid-tonewood acoustic-electric radiates classic vintage vibe. The M-40E Troubadour's smaller concert-size body, with its Sitka spruce top and African mahogany back and sides, serves up a balanced tonal palette that's perfect for light strummers and fingerstyle players alike. Plug-in onstage or in the studio, and the onboard LR Baggs Element VTC electronics amplify that gorgeous tone flawlessly. Premium appointments include an Indian rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, vintage-style rosette, and a thin satin varnish finish that imparts a timeless, played-in look and feel while allowing the sound of the Guild M-40E Troubadour to bloom unimpeded.

Great little Guild!
I recently purchased the M-40e in Sun Burst! I love it. Great tone and easy to play. I like the wider neck because it is easier to play single notes. I was a bit concerned before it arrived but it works for me. This guitar has excellent bass tone for the small body. Now I need an F-40! Hope Guild decides to make them again. Very happy with Sweetwater too! Guitar arrived before the Thanksgiving holiday as promised by my guitar rep Zac. I will buy from Sweetwater again!
Guild M-40 E
The guitar is light weight and musically responsive. This guitar reminds me of the Orpheum series that Guild had a few years ago. This guitar will compete musically with any other instrument in its class, very easy playing. Guild guitars are a great value and the D-40 is exceptional in all catagories. Sales person C Sonia was great to work with but come on Cris shave for the pic.
