High end adornments display the quality of the instrument

The Guild D-140SB is a high-quality acoustic guitar, and carries the features to prove it. Along with the all solid-wood construction for exceptional tone, you get the unmistakable look of Guild's vintage-correct tortoise pickguard, and well-known ""Chesterfield"" headstock inlay. Maybe less apparent at first glance, but incredibly noticeable for you, will be the NuBone used for the string nut and saddle for ultimate tone transfer from the strings to the guitar's soundboard.

Dreadnought body style is great for projection and versatility

Dreadnought bodied acoustic guitars are some of the best instruments out there for guitarists in need of power from their guitar. Their larger size not only offers a rich and full sound, but an Dreadnought's tone is wonderful for punching through a mix and for accompanying the human voice. Dreadnought acoustic guitars are some of the most popular and desirable acoustics out there for their recognizably clear and robust sound.

Engineered for a comfortable playing experience

The D-140SB is engineered from the ground up to be comfortable and effortless to play. You'll notice the slinky-smooth string action along the 25.5" scale length, vintage-shaped neck. And the 1-3/4" nut width spaces the strings wonderfully for being able to either strum, flatpick, or play fingerstyle without feeling cramped or having to reach uncomfortably far for your next string.

Pride and Joy

Couldn't possible overstate how great this guitar is. Tried several guitars around £550 to £850 from Martin, Taylor, Faith, Yamaha and Sigma. This guitar blew them out of the water every time. Very attractive in Sunburst and feels great to play. The wide nut (44.5mm) lends itself well to fingerstyle playing but is also great for strumming and flat picking. The warm and rounded low end was what caught my attention most when I first played it and I couldn't stop going back to it as it made all the other guitars sound thin and brittle in comparison! Came with a good quality hard case with a fabric outer. Very much my pride and joy now and it blows my mind every time I pick it up.Pros: Warm and rich toneGreat projection and volumeBone saddle and nutExcellent quality finishLow and high ends well balancedCons:Low quality tuning pegsPlastic bridge pins

This is a truly beautiful instrument! In every way... the finish is great and the this is one of the most playable guitars I've owned. Sounds great also with plenty of volume and a full voice. Couldn't be happier.

Love it.

This is a beautiful sounding and looking guitar. I have a Larrivee D03R and was afraid I might be disappointed in this Guild but definitely NOT the case. It sound brassy, but not in a harsh way. Very bright and clear. It has bracing on the sides and down the center of the back not found on my Larrivee. This more solid bracing makes it feel solid but IMO doesn't kill the sound. Intonation at 12th fret dead on. Case is cheap but who cares. Bought at Sweetwater, no regrets.
Music background: Not too good, not too bad
