Great case

By Sweetwater Customer on March 29, 2023

This case was made for my guitar

Nice case - little pricey

By Donny W on March 10, 2023

Perfectly fits my Honey Dripper. Very well made. Case is made by TKL. Gotta say, it's bit overpriced considering Fender and Gibson branded cases cost the same. That said, it will protect my investment for a lifetime. If you have the bucks, don't hesitate.

Affordable quality

Nice case… handle is comfortable and latches appear sturdy enough to last for a long time. The purple inside Is plush and provides great cushioning, and it perfectly fits the Gretsch resonator that I bought with it.

Fantastic case!

The case not only looks great, but fits great.

Good fit. Be careful of thickness of strap: may affect fit

seems to be a good case, better than a lot, but quite good for the price

perfect

The case was a demo, and when it arrived - two days after I ordered it!!! - I inspected it thoroughly....I uncovered no flaws! My Gretsch Boxcar fits in it perfectly. It's got great purple lining. and of course, Sweetwater customer service is first rate.

Nice Guitar Case

Very nice case. It looks great and fits my new Gretsch Resonator very well.

My Sweetwater experience was once again excellent. Prompt attention, shipping was on time and arrived well packaged. Nick, my Sweetwater rep contacted me before and after to make sure all was well. Thanks Nick!

Hardshell vs. gigbag

By Sweetwater Customer from The shadows of Burning Mountain, CO USA on August 7, 2013 Music Background: I don't play... I just own cases.

I didn't give it a 5 because it's hard to get "blown away" by a case. I have owned the Gretch Boxcar resonator for several months now. I waited for the cases due to the protection level over the gigbag also offered for these style guitars. The case is well made, with no flaws and it has a nice tight fit.. It has a very cool purple interior too. Spend the money for the case over the bag. It's well worth it.

It's a keeper

This case fits my gretsch honey dipper perfectly. I'm not overly impressed with the lining though. I think the lining in my gator journeyman reso case is more nicely done. My other reso fits perfectly in that one.i wish they made one sized for the gretsch.
Sweetwater was great to deal with.

Great case!

By Ross from Connecticut on August 14, 2021

It's a fine case and fits the Gretsch resonator like a glove. Plush inside. Only thing is I wish it had at least one more closing snap on the back side. Other than that, it's a fine case.

Perfect fit / Way too expensive

By Nate Couch from Wylie, TX on January 6, 2021

First off, sweetwater is fantastic. I received my order extremely fast and couldn't be happier in dealing with them.

The case however is kind of a letdown. It fits my g9200 boxcar perfectly. Quality wise though I feel like I got ripped off. Its very light and the wood feels thin. There are staples protruding from both sides where i'm assuming they stapled the inner pocket. Which again speaks to how low quality the wood must be. At first I thought it had been damaged in shipping but I guess that's how its supposed to be?

If you own a gretsch resonator its tough because there aren't a lot of options out there. Seeing this in person makes me wish I'd of bought the cheap gig bag instead though im sure it also sucks. And the journeyman case might not fit it as well as this one does.

So 4 stars because technically it fits great and its a case. The price is robbery though.

Amazing Case how Sweet

By Lamar Roy from Mountain Creek, AL on May 18, 2016 Music Background: 30+ yrs. drummer, neophyte guitarist

Really nice, quite plush, very well padded, strong carrying handle, substantial; fits my Gretsch 9200 perfectly, as it should. (One should be so lucky as to be buried in a box this nice. ;-)
Not a complaint but I think it could have more than three clasps; many less expensive hard cases have four clasps. Might have arrived in a more timely fashion if fedex used GPS, Google earth etc.

Great case

By Bruce from Fort Worth, Tx on January 6, 2016 Music Background: Guitar player intermediate

I bought this case from Sweetwater because they have excellent customer service (thanks AJ!). This product was no exception. It arrived before Christmas and ahead of time. It also fit my Regal guitar perfectly and is excellent quality. I highly recommend it.

Fits guitar like a dream

fits guitar like a dream

Dissatisfied

By Sweetwater Customer on August 23, 2016

I was not happy, to say the least, when I received this case. It fits my Gretsch round neck resonator perfectly, but this case is only four ply (flat top), it has only three clasp and it sells for over $150. Love the guitar, but I feel ripped off on the case purchase. Save your dollars and buy the new padded case. I doubt this hard case offers any better protection for your guitar. Save yourself the $95 difference in cost.
