A Solid Performer w/Bigsby

The Gretsch G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose hollowbody may play like a modern electric guitar, but its sound and style are pure classic Gretsch. A solid performer both in the studio and onstage, the G6119T is built from arched laminated maple, yielding a highly resonant snap that sounds incredible when coupled with its robust High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbucking pickups. You'll love the playing comfort provided by this guitar's insanely slick standard U-shaped maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Innovative bracing is voiced specifically for this guitar, imbuing the G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose hollowbody electric guitar with a distinctive character you'll adore.

Arched maple body provides your tone with excellent definition

Maple has to be one of the most lively, bright, and colorful tonewoods out there, which is exactly why Gretsch decided to make their Gretsch G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose almost entirely out of this wonderful wood. At Sweetwater, we've found that this hollowbody's arched body yields a wonderfully snappy, open tone that, when combined with the pristine sound of its High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers, sounds great in any situation.

Pristine tone from High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers

The Gretsch G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose packs a wide-ranging voice, thanks to a pair of High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers. These pickups deliver a broad range of tones with clear high end, glassy midrange, robust low end, and balanced harmonics.

Two volume controls + one tone control = exceptional sonic flexibility

It's easy to stereotype the Gretsch G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose until you play it, and then you realize you can pull off a lot of tonal tricks with it. With a volume control for each pickup, you can create your perfect balance between warmth, bite, and brilliance when both pickups are engaged. The master tone control lets you fine-tune your sound once you have the pickups dialed in. And thanks to the master volume control, you can take your tube amp from clean to growling without changing the balance between your pickups. Of course, you'll get sweet tone from the neck and bridge pickups individually, but there's a lot of territory to cover when you combine them.

Bigsby tailpiece yields smooth vibrato action

Nothing beats the character and vintage vibe that a real Bigsby-style tailpiece adds to the Gretsch G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose. Based on the original design created by Paul A. Bigsby, this Bigsby Licensed tailpiece requires next to no effort to use, making it particularly easy to pull off slow, subtle, and extended bends.

Gretsch G6119T Hollowbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Hollowbody electric guitar with classic Gretsch styling
  • Arched maple body delivers a deliciously snappy, open tone
  • High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers yield pristine tone
  • Highly playable standard U-shaped maple neck with rosewood fingerboard
  • Special bracing produces distinct tone by synchronizing top and back vibrations
  • 2 volume controls and 1 tone control create exceptional sonic flexibility
  • Bigsby tailpiece provides smooth vibrato action
The Gretsch G6119T hollowbody electric guitar is a treat for your eyes and ears!

Gtretsch Tennsesse Rose Gretsch G6119T Players Edition

This guitar is simply awesome! The Tennessee Rose looks like a million dollars and plays/sounds fantastic! The build quality of the Gretsch is superb in every way and the sound was just what I was looking for. As usual, Scott A. had it inspected/set up by the in house luthiers and the action is perfect. This is the 2nd Guitar (2016 Gibson Songwriter CE) I have purchased from Sweetwater and this is another gem. Thanks again fellas! Now it's time to match it up with a Fender tube amp....Hmmmm...'65 or '68...Decisions, decisions! : - )
Music background: Been playing guitar and bass since the '70's.
