Five Watts of Tone-shaping Flexibility!

Rocking just five watts of incredible tube tone, the Bugera G5 Infinium guitar head is the perfect amp for smaller gigs where you don't need a ton of power but can't afford to sacrifice tone. The classic push/pull Class A design generates balanced harmonics and tube compression, giving you the sound than made tube amps the go-to choice to begin with. Plus, the Bugera G5 Infinium Morph EQ gives you the best of American- and British-style EQs (or anything in between), further expanding your sonic capabilities. Add that to classic reverb and a built-in power attenuator to get true tube tone at any volume, and the Bugera G5 Infinium guitar head becomes an incredible value!

Infinium technology takes the hassle and expense out of tube tone

Sweetwater guitarists agree that there's no tone like tube tone. But we also know that the cost involved in owning and maintaining a tube guitar amplifier can be prohibitive. Solid-state amps have come a long way, but even the best amp model can't beat true tube tone, and Bugera's Infinium technology means no more compromising what you want. The Infinium circuit is designed to optimize the performance of your output tubes and distribute the load evenly between the tubes, giving you tonal integrity and reliability. By automatically adjusting current levels, aging tubes are compensated for and your tone retains that toasty, day one sound throughout its life. Tubes, by nature, do wear out and die, but when you play an Infinium amp, you'll never worry. This exclusive technology allows you to grab whatever replacement tube you have on hand and get back to playing - there's no matching necessary. In fact, now you can mix and match tubes to create your very own signature sound without the hassle and expense of buying matched pairs. And because Infinium is a bit like having your own guitar amp tech with you on every gig, you get up to 20 times more life out of your tubes. When it is time to change one out you'll know exactly where to go, thanks to the life monitoring LED readout that keeps you in the know about your amp's health. Only Bugera makes the joy of owning and playing a tube amplifier this accessible and easy!

Bugera G5 Infinium Guitar Head Features:
  • 5-watt design for true tube tone at reasonable volumes

G5 Love Affair

Yep!! I am hopelessly in love with my new G5. 1/2 way on the reverb, emulated speaker switch to 4-12's , power to .1 watt. Distortion and morph about 1/2. I am in ecstasy! These 2 tubes really make a difference! Oh yeah I live in an apartment complex with paper thin walls. No need for speaker cabs here. I have never heard such great sounds thru headphones before. My high dollar combo amp is now relegated to amp head stand status. This amps for you if you looking for great tube sounds without breaking your bank. Thanks Clint for speeding this jewel to me!

Just as Described..Great Practice AMP!

I picked up this head to practice with. I also got the matching 1X12 cabinet. I own a Marshall tube head / stack that is to much in my Studio/spare room. I just couldn't push the amp. With this Bugera, the multiple wattage settings are perfect. I can select 1 watt and crank the volume and gain and drive the amp without busting my windows out. I agree with another review I read. This is a darker sounding amp. Nothing thin about it. It sounds great and is exactly what I was needing and with the price, it's a steal. Seems sturdy and well made. No cheap switches etc. 5 watts is loud !! and I believe it could roll with a drum kit in a garage. Whats great is you get the same sound and tone no matter what wattage setting you are at. I set it to .1 watt and jammed while my wife was asleep across the hall and it sounded great ! The biggest selling point to this is Patrick Schaefer's help and knowledge and Sweetwaters customer service. I got a call from Patrick Schaefer an hour after I placed the order telling me that it would ship that day, and I would have it in two days. That just blew me away. That kind of Service is a lost art with companies today. Thanks Patrick for all your help!! I could buy my stuff from anybody, but with people like Patrick and Sweetwater, they seal the deal for all my business!!

Bugera G5

Excellent value here. This is basically a Blackstar HT5RH clone with the added benefit of a built in attenuator. The G5 can 5w, 1w, or .1w The 1/10th watt setting is fantastic and keeps the volume whisper quiet for late night playing. I bought the G5 as a replacement for a Blackstar HT1RH. While I liked the 1w Blackstar, I often wished it had tone controls and an effects loop. The G5 can do it all and I think it's the ultimate bedroom amp right now. Even comes with a nice foot switch.

It's a Winner

I 've had my Bugera G5 for a few weeks now and I am extremely satisfied with it. The G5 offers alot of performance and features for the price. The reveb on this unit is nice and natural and the overdrive full and smooth. The variety of great tube tones from clean to overdriven are excellent and numerous. The Morph EQ lets me chose from US Clean to UK warmth and everything in between. Love the effects loop and footswitch. The emulated headphone output sounds good too. The G5 is a solidly built unit and has exceeded my expectations.

surprisingly good! it worth every penny!

This head have all features a guitar player need, the bugera tubes are ok, but I replace the preamp tube for an ElectroHarmonix after testing other brands like JJ, Mullard, and some others, but the richness of the EH makes this head sound so nice and warm, I used a celestion Eight 15 at first time using it, and the sound wasn´t bad, but i recently purchased a celestion Alnico gold and it made a remarcable difference!you won´t believe that sound is coming from an amp of that price!I just Love it!Special Thanks to Charlie Davis from Sweetwater for all help and support, exellent service! fast shipping!
