I have Marshall DSL-40C that came with creamback 65(good speaker) and I also have a creamback 75(very nice indeed) Anyways I just wanted to try the G12 V-type just to hear what the hype is about! Well, believe the hype cause its staying on my DSL-40.
I got to try it live at a gig on band volume level and its every bit an awesome speaker for the price and less weight. It definitely lighten up my DSL-40 1x12 which is a plus. The biggest winner for me is what I'm hearing, which is a speaker that has a combination of G12T-75,V30,and some 25 Greenback! its kinda hard to explain but that's what I'm hearing.
My set up is not difficult, all I have is a guitar alder body, maple neck and a bridge pick up Dimarzio PAF-PRO and cable to amp and that's it. Solo notes come out nice and slightly thick,my eq's are all 12'Oclock except for bass and resonance are at max,Rhythm chords come out clear and warm. Anyways it makes my Marshall sound very Balance. Talk to Scott Bennett at X1738 he'll take care of you.
