Tighten Up Your Performance!

If you've ever put an elastic hair tie around the neck of your instrument, you're already familiar with Gruv Gear FretWraps. This adjustable band uses a soft cloth to effectively (and professionally) kill unwanted overtones and open-string resonance. This works wonders for a variety of applications: thumb bass, two-hand tapping, percussive acoustic playing, slide guitar, and more. FretWraps slide down to your headstock when you don't need damping and back up to virtually any neck position between chord changes. Whether you're a metalhead who wants a more professional recorded tone or a bassist who wants freedom to explore the fretboard without the open-string mud, Sweetwater recommends Gruv Gear FretWraps.

Gruv Gear FretWraps Stringed Instrument Damper Features:
  • Small size: fits 4-string basses, 6-string electric guitars, 6-string acoustic guitars, and ukuleles
  • Cuts down on unwanted overtones and sympathetic resonance
  • Tightens up your performance
  • Great for 2-hand tapping and slide work
  • Adjustable tension lets you fine-tune damping
  • Easy to slide on and off between sections
  • Soft material won't hurt your neck or fretboard
Sound tighter and look more professional with Gruv Gear FretWraps stringed instrument dampers!

Gruv Gear Fretwraps

Greatest thing since sliced bread. Works good on my new SG and my old Martin. Be sure to install it right (buckle in front). Thanks Sean I love it.

Great accessories

I probably don't tap anywhere near as much as these were originally intended to help with but these are great at stifling the odd guitar/bass strings from ringing out. I have pretty bad arthritis in my hands and muting the strings while playing is getting harder and I definitely notice the difference when I don't have one on; now I have one on every stringed instrument I own. They are pretty durable too, I've had the same one on my main gigging bass for about 5 years now and it's a little stretched out but still functional. I definitely recommend a snug fit to start with, they will loosen up.

Still a work in process

Am a new bass player so I am getting use to how to use it lol
