The Audix FireBall - Something to Wail About

There's a mic made specifically for you - the pro harmonica player. It's the Audix FireBall, and the latest version is the coolest thing since, well, harmonicas. With its quirky good looks, FireBall nestles comfortably in your cupped hands - without muddiness, feedback, or distortion. In fact, FireBall's full-sized dynamic capsule will make you sound great! Clean and accurate, FireBall is capable of handling sound pressure levels in excess of 140 dB without distortion. Crafted in the USA from a solid bar of aircraft-grade aluminum, FireBall is built road-tough to withstand the craziest of stage antics night after night. FireBall is optimized for harmonica, but works great on other instruments as well. Check it out.

Made for me!

When you need a mic for drums, brass, or anything that puts out super sonic sound; you need not look any further! Audix has made a name for themselves specializing in creating microphones that can reach decibels clearly that others can only choke at. When Audix makes a harmonica microphone, I know that they made a microphone just for folks like me. No other harmonica mic on the market has both the technological and physical qualities of this caliber. Able to register sounds up to 140 decibels and framed in airplane steel, the Audix Fieball V is performance and road ready!
Music background: Music production, cello, harmonica, keyboards, bass guitar...

Fireball V review

WOW!!!....Fantastic Microphone!!! What a tone!!....Love using this at Church and at gigs.... Keep on ROCKIN

Gerat Harp Mic

This little thing sounds great and looks great. A must have for all harmonica players.

Very powerful sound, comfortable in hand and easy access volume control, didn't come with a mic chord but I like a separate chord because on the built in chords I tend to always be stepping on them and pulling them out, if I do that with the chord being separate it's not a big problem............great product, loving it so far.
Music background: Lead vocals and harp, mostly blues, southern rock and classic rock 40 yrs plus.

Audix FireBall V Mic & Accompanying EXM-5 Cable

Both the mic and cable work just as they should, and Sweetwater's follow-up support was excellent as usual. I bought this mic mainly as a back-up for my 40+ year old Sure bullet mic. The Fireball mic is a bit smaller and lighter than my old bullet mic. But, I'm big and I have big hands. So, this smallness and lightness is not really an advantage for me. Also, the sound of the Bullet seems to me to be a bit more rich and growly (which I like) than the Fireball, whose sound seems to me to be a bit more thin and shallow. But, the Fireball is great for my purposes. And, if you run the Fireball into a good amplifier/speaker, then any deficiencies in richness seem easy to overcome. ... I would recommend getting a Audix T50k Hi-Lo Impeiance Transformer along with the Fireball mic and cable so that it can be plugged directly into outlets for guitars - because I've found that, especially for small gig venues, a variety of different connectors should be expected.
