The Ibanez FR320 -
The Ibanez FR320 – Not many reviews on this so here is my feedback. First, I really liked the modern tele-style look and the build is exceptional for this price range. I found no flaws on this guitar and it was set up nicely. Thanks Sweetwater!
This guitar is comfortable to play and I'm getting some very surprising tones. The way that the two CCR Humbuckers are wired into the five- way switch really does allow quite the flexibility in tones. Check out the Ibanez website for the switching system diagram. I like the switch for a quick single coil tone instead of a pot to pull. Not bad on loss of volume between switches as well, however some slight noise during switching. The tones are clear and bright, smooth and mellow, and when driven, it screams. Sustain on this guitar is great thanks to the fixed Tight End bridge. This bridge that is easy to adjust and no sharp edges to annoy your hand when string muting or picking. The neck is fast and smooth feeling and access to the highest 24th fret is no problem in this design. The fret board itself is the darkest rosewood that I have seen, almost looks like ebony. Also, love the quick access sliding truss rod cover plate on the Ibanez guitars! The tuners are a little sensitive when needed but the strings are still new so not sure if staying in tune is a problem.
Overall, for the price, I am quite pleased. This guitar looks good, sounds good and fits well into my collection and is here to stay.
