I'm giving this amp 4 stars based on its price. It's really just an OK amp. It gets the job done without bells or whistles, and the clean channel is REALLY good and clean - zero hiss to it. I've read reviews where people didn't like the overdrive channel, but I think it's more a matter of taste. The OD is really dirty, but I kind of like it. The "More Drive" button just jumps up the gain some. OK, but kinda cheesy. It takes pedals well and remains good and clean on clean channel. Pedals plus drive channel was so-so. What this amp does excel at is inexpensive volume. It's loud. Really, really loud. If I play it higher than "2" in my studio space, it's uncomfortable on my ears. Take it on stage and there's plenty of volume to put your drummer in his proper place! The blue color is awesome. Don't buy the black one; everybody has one of those! Comes with a channel control footswitch which is kinda cheap-o, but seems to do the job well. At least you can't hear it in the amp when you switch channels, so that's a big ++ in my book. Bottom line: if you're comparing this to a $1500 Fender tube amp, you're gonna be disappointed. If you take it at face value - solid, inexpensive acoustic muscle, it think you're gonna like it.
