outstanding for the price
I played a lot of guitars while shopping and there where a lot of good, but more expensive, guitars in the list of the ones I played (don't remember models or all the guitars, there was a seagull and a martin in there), but when I picked up this one I was genuinely surprised. The action and string gauge felt super nice right off the bat, along with the unpolished neck, making it feel very playable to me. The acoustic sound was a good blend of low and middle, with a less prominent high rang, without lacking anything. It plays well with chords, as well as picking individual notes, which gives it a feel that makes me want to play all day long. At this price, I would say it might be one of the best all around guitars I've played (only the second one I've owned behind a hand-me-down estaban cheap guitar). I haven't played much with the electronics other than the built in tuner, which is pretty accurate, and testing it in store, but I tested it on the most expensive amp there, so that doesn't say as much about the guitars electronics. Overall, because of the relatively low price and the outstanding performance so far, I give this a well deserved 5 stars for Yamaha.
