Daking's FET III gives your tracks that extra "oomph," without over-coloring them. The FET III lets you stay true to the vibe of the original mix, while you get your tracks where they need to be. Think of it as a studio tool, not a paint brush. Saying that, though, shouldn't take away from the versatility of the fully Class A FET III. It works well on an extraordinary variety of sources. The highpass filters - an upgrade from the FET II - let you improve and customize the limiter behavior of the FET III.

Daking rocks
Great compressor for tracking or mixing. It will do a lot of things and does them all well.
I had 2 of them. Wife got 1 in the divorce, so I'm saving up to get another one.
If size matters
I own several stereo buss comps and this one has won every time,It's very open sounding and does not get congested like some of the others. . It can be gentle or it can SLAM in a good way without losing the size of depth of soundstage. Its your adult compressor. I wish I owned 3.
Punchy, warm, & Loud!
Love this Daking. I am using it on my analog summing buss. Using the UA Apollo, into a Dangereous 2-buss, into this Daking, and back to the Apollo. Really adds Punch & volume to my mix. My last studio album was running through 2 Daking comps on the stereo buss, and I heard a huge difference back then. So I knew exactly what I would be getting in this unit, and I am not disappointed!

The FET 3 now lives permanently on my stereo buss.Excellent value for your dollar.I like the way it grabs without sounding like the other guys mixes.Keeps the soundstage in tact.Very flattering.
Great compressor!
The FETIII is an excellent all round compressor. Works well on vocals, drum bus, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and horns. It is also an excellent 2-bus compressor and remains relatively transparent even while doing heavy gain reduction. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a compressor that will work on a wide variety of instruments.
