Real Acoustic Feel, Travel Size!

The original Escape! If you've been playing for a while, you know how important "feel" is to the playing experience. And since most travel guitars have a shorter scale, the "feel" is completely off; the frets are closer together, it's harder to form chords, and you've got to re-train yourself on how to play - only to re-train again once you get back home. But the Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II manages to avoid all of that nonsense. This sophisticated acoustic-electric travel guitar features a full-scale 25-1/2" neck, complete with an ergonomic overhead compartment-friendly design for a "best of both worlds" combination.

One look at the Traveler Guitar Escape and you know this isn't your ordinary travel guitar. Play it acoustically and you'll get surprisingly big, full sound from the alder body, maple neck, and ebonized rosewood fingerboard. But plug in a pair of headphones (there's a headphone preamp system onboard!) and listen to the Escape come to life. You'll also want to plug into your favorite amp or the PA system at the little coffeehouse open mic you happened upon. The high-quality custom Shadow pickup system sounds amazing.

If you're after a travel acoustic-electric guitar that has the serious player in mind, the Traveler Guitar Escape is it. You even get a deluxe gig bag with it!

Traveler Guitar Escape

What a fabulous guitar to carry with you anywhere and not miss a full scale neck. Right out of the box, I plugged it in, fine tuned and began playing. It is so convenient to be able to have a guitar with you wherever you are and it sounds great too. With the built in electronics for headphones or amp, this gear works! No reason not to play when something this affordable is available from Sweetwater! Thanks Chris

Fun Vacation Guitar

This guitar is much more function than form. I was looking for something to travel with, to allow me to practice and have fun. The guitar is built well. The neck is comfortable and the action is nice. The guitar is most comfortable when played using a strap. The pickup works equally well plugged into a clean tube amp (EQ to taste) or a PA. Using headphones wasn't as satisfying, regardless of how the preamp was set. This was less critical to me as the acoustic volume is sufficient for the majority of my needs. The only compromise and complaint I have with the instrument is with string changes and tuning. String changes (even after watching the YouTube instructional video) and tuning are inconvenient and a bit frustrating. In my case, the benefit of being able to travel with a guitar makes up for this, but it was frustrating. Overall this is a good product for its intended purpose. I enjoy it and would recommend checking out Traveler Guitars.

Bad Jack?

I will update this when I get one that works right. As soon as I plugged it into the amp, with a Mogami cable with silencer, it "popped" and continued popping as it wiggled around in the jack. Then I tried a cable w/o the silencer, a Fender cable...same thing. Tech support is working on it. I then tried all my cables with other guitars and the cables are fine. I like the size of this guitar and if I can get one that works right, I will give it a 5 star rating.
