The 50th Anniversary Custom Elite's AAA bearclaw spruce top brings excellent projection, balance, and focus to Ovation's Mid Contour Lyrachord body, which is built from a tough composite to resist cracking. Bearclaw's cross-grain stiffness is thought to produce a stronger fundamental than Sitka spruce and a sound that opens up through playing.
