ESP's Eclipse body style blends classic looks with modern performance

Nothing screams hard rock like ESP's timeless Eclipse body style. The extra mass of this single-cutaway design gives the E-II Eclipse truly epic sustain, whereas its slightly arched top provides you with comfortable hand positioning, no matter your picking style. Add to that a super-sharp cutaway, which gives you open access to the E-II Eclipse's upper frets, and you're totally ready to shred.

Aggressive modern tone from dual EMG active humbucking pickups

The E-II Eclipse comes equipped with an EMG 60 humbucker in the neck position, voiced for "classic-thick" tone. It's a great pickup for warmer tone that remains articulate and defined. The EMG 81 at the bridge position gives you the classic EMG sound - detailed and aggressive, with rich sustain. Between these two pickups, you'll cover the sonic range from mellow to maniacal.

Top-notch quality is affordable with ESP's E-II series

Bridging the gap between custom shop and mass production guitars, ESP E-II brings you Japanese-made guitars at affordable prices. These premium guitars are made in the same factory as ESP guitars by the same luthiers. Based on the most popular ESP models, ESP E-II guitars like this E-II Eclipse have the features, playability, and vibe that you want at a great price.

Amazing quality and tone

I have been playing for 25 years and this is one of the best quality guitars I have ever played. I was on the fence about this color but it is a beautiful instrument. Everything about the guitar is high quality and it is made for some serious tones! I put some NYXL Medium Top/Heavy bottom strings on it and it can be easily down tuned to Drop C, C#, Drop D...whatever you want to throw at it. 100% satisfied customer. Thanks Andrew!

Amazing Guitar

I've been playing for about 17 years and this is far and away the best guitar I've ever played. I have the limited edition EC Biotech Vampire (which is essentially an EC-401 with a special paint job) and I love it. This guitar blows it out of the water. It needed a slight setup out of the box, the action was a bit low. Also, I didn't care for the Cleartone strings it came with, but that is just a personal preference. If you're on the fence about this guitar, pull the trigger. I'm so glad that I did.

this is my first actual ESP all the other guitars i have are LTD models but as soon as i had taken it out of the box i was just in awe of this monster that was layed before me. the finish with the EMGs and how light it was just makes it so effortless to play. i absolutely love this guitar. thanks tyler berrgren for helping me with all of my orders! this is a must buy.

ESP E-II Eclipse

I've been playing guitar for 17 years and my last ESP purchase was 2011 and it was silver diamond plate explorer. Same pickups, bridge, tuners, and material. My concerns when purchasing an E-II were: what is E-II? Is this a lesser model? Am I going to get a lesser quality product? After looking into ESP and what they are looking to accomplish as a company, they are creating an exclusivity to their "Orignal" series. Those are made by hand in the original Japanese factory while E-II are not handmade, but are made in the same original Japanese factory. That being said, I can tell you that E-II is not a lesser product. The sound, the response, and the power I get from my E-II DO MATCH what I get from my ESP EX. The biggest, most noticeable difference is the ESP logo on my EX headstock and the battery compartment on the back (E-II has a cool swivel feature). I had never heard of Sweetwater and from my first experience I must say it was amazing from start to finish. From my initial call a week ago, to yesterday when my order arrived, Alden had been extremely helpful. His extreme patience is matched only by his knowledge & passion for what he does and he showed it every time we spoke. I have no doubt that I will purchase more from Sweetwater because of this experience and I will refer everyone I know to this company. Thank you Alden for everything and I will be keeping in touch for other purchases.
