ESP's Eclipse body style blends classic looks with modern performance

Nothing screams hard rock like ESP's timeless Eclipse body style. The extra mass of this single-cutaway design gives the E-II Eclipse truly epic sustain, whereas its slightly arched top provides you with comfortable hand positioning, no matter your picking style. Add to that a super-sharp cutaway, which gives you open access to the E-II Eclipse's upper frets, and you're totally ready to shred.

Sweet, wide ranging tone from dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers

The E-II Eclipse comes equipped with a Seymour Duncan SH-1 humbucker in the neck position, voiced to sound like a vintage PAF pickup with a bit of extra midrange scoop. The SH-4 humbucker at the bridge position gives you a more aggressive sound with a hotter output, yet it cleans up nicely when you roll back your volume control. Between these two pickups, you'll cover the sonic range from soft and sweet to loud and mean.

Top-notch quality is affordable with ESP's E-II series

Bridging the gap between custom shop and mass production guitars, ESP E-II brings you Japanese-made guitars at affordable prices. These premium guitars are made in the same factory as ESP guitars by the same luthiers. Based on the most popular ESP models, ESP E-II guitars like this E-II Eclipse have the features, playability, and vibe that you want at a great price.

Perfection out of the box!

I'd heard good things about ESP guitars, but being a "traditional" player, I thought that ESP made guitars only for "shredders." Not true. This Eclipse is very similar to a Les Paul, without being a copy. This thing was absolutely perfect upon arrival. Not just great--but perfect. Fretwork on it is amazing. David Hess handled the order with aplomb, and it arrived quickly and without a scratch on it. Sweetwater is the best, in my book.
