Long-lasting Coated Strings for Your Classical Guitar!

All D'Addario EXP Pro-Arte Nylon Core classic guitar strings deliver full-range tone with precise intonation and great projection. The clear treble strings are sorted by a computer-controlled laser machine for quality so you get the best sounding and playing strings possible. Pro-Arte silver-plated copper basses use a multi-filament nylon core for warm tone with exceptional projection. Sweetwater knows that choosing the perfect string is vital to a musician's sound. D'Addario EXP45 EXP Pro-Arte normal tension strings give you rich tone and projection. EXP coated silver-plated copper wrap wire has a natural feel and sound fresh and bright with a "new string tone" that lasts three to four times longer than traditional guitar strings.

D'Addario - Making strings for over 300 years

Behind every set of D'Addario strings are over three centuries of fine craftsmanship. The D'Addario family tradition began in the tiny town of Salle, Italy in 1680 where they made assorted instrument strings for over two hundred years before relocating to New York in 1905. As the modern string making industry began to develop, the D'Addario family emerged as innovators by designing the winding machine most string makers still use today. And while their techniques have modernized, the pride that goes into each set of strings dates back to the D'Addario family's earliest roots.

Good quality strings at a good price.

I am not a fan of D'Addorio, at least not until now. I have the Cordoba Mini O which calls for ball end strings but I wanted to try out these instead since the coating on the strings is important, especially for my guitar it seems. All the other strings I've tried on my guitar have felt rough. These are nice and smooth, just like any Elixir coated strings, which I adore. They're full of tone as well and I'd probably agree with most people who say they have a 'tinnyness' to them. Well, I like that 'tinnyness'. I put Cocobolo bridge pins on my Mini O which helps balance out the string's dynamics, I feel. I would highly recommend these strings to anyone. And oh yeah, they do take a day or two to break in like most people are stating.

first thoughts: there ok...then WOW

just had my cordoba gk studio strung with this. at first I thought they were just ok. then after a week when the strings broke in it just sounded beautiful best string in my opinion! blown away

Incredible Value

After being dazzled with Elixir coated strings for acoustic steel-string guitars, this is the product that I chose for my nylon-strings after using D;Addario's rather industry standard and perennial crowd favorite EJ45 normal tension strings. The EXP45 strings keep their appearance and tone for a long, long time, maybe 3-5 times as long as other nylon string types I have tried. Most nylon strings take about 2 weeks to "break-in", yet these were producing consistently beautiful tones within a week. No issues with buzz, pre-mature tarnish or breakage. Just, clear, beautiful sound. Until something better comes along, this is the only string I'll use.

Great Strings

I really appreciate the sound and quality of these strings. They sound great on my Kohno. I was given a pack as a gift and I think I will stick with these from now on.
