No issues with these strings. Listen to Jason Richardson, lighter gauge = more dj0nts

Know what youre buying

These strings are a little light for a downtuned 8 string, sure. I like using then on my seven string because I can never find anything larger than a .64 for the low A which theoretically puts me around 16lbs on the low string with a 27 inch scale. I buy these, put the high E (.09) aside for when an e breaks on one of my six strings. Then i just string it up normally and ive found it works better than the .64 size.

And Crap

A prime example of a major string company trying to make a product they don't understand and don't test properly. These string are suggested for 25.5 inch scales and is even put on them. Of course it's up tuned to hell because any standard tunings these are mud in the wind unless you have a 30inch neck and then they're just too f'n short.

Unless you want mud or something that is only suitable for legato djent you're money is being wasted by a company that see's ERG's as a gimick and sell a product that realistically will never work.

Even on a 27 inch still don't expect to use your 8th string for anything but djent because it'll sound horrible in any chord/powerchord. A complete slap in the face to anyone actually looking for 8 string sets, and a company taking advantage of people with few readily commercial options.

I bought 2 pairs when they first came out not knowing like many and just no. Buy at your own risk, regret immediatly and then go buy strings that you'll actually use.

You are better off getting a REAL 7 string set and just getting any random high E string...
