Solid, quiet, and a worthy investment

I can't claim to know everything about signal transfer or resistance, so I'll just try to compare these cables with others I've owned over 25+ years. Honestly, I regret going cheap and not buying these sooner. I had always attributed the noise in my rig to the nature of an old tube amp, paired with overwound Strat pickups. Aside from generic store-brand cables, I've primarily owned Fender Custom Shop Tweed cables and Planet Waves cables. Just by looking at it, you can tell the Evolution has a much thicker jacket with a nice, soft touch. It doesn't have any memory, so the heavier cable lays flat, stays put, and does not try to coil back up. When winding them quickly back up with your hand, they don't burn. While I don't care much about gold vs. chrome, the Neutrik connectors feel really solid; truly built like a tank. There is little flex or movement, so I feel confident that nothing will break loose over time. There are no annoying shrink-wrapped ends to slide down the cable, like in the Fender Custom Shop cables. When plugging them in, there is a heavy and satisfying thump; akin to closing the door of an old Mercedes. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't figure it out sooner, but every bit of noise in my equipment is gone. The Planet Waves sounded like bacon frying, and the Fenders were unreliable, loose, and would fall apart quickly. The Evolution may cost a bit more, but far less than I've spent on all the other junk cables over the years. Buy these, and you'll never have to think about them again.
