After using other brands, either on-sale or slightly cheaper heads, I just grew accustomed to the sound and response of lower quality heads. Then after playing a drum kit that had the Evans G2's I was surprised at the difference in response, sound quality and the ease of tuning. As a professional sound engineer I was accustomed to using the console to make even the worst sounding drums sound good. These heads made that job so much easier. My own drums now have ALL Evans heads. In my opinion the Evans G2 series heads are well worth the money.Rock On!

I just put these on my PDP FS Birch kit, and they sound great! I used to have the Remo Black suede heads, which sounded way too muffled for my tastes. These give plenty of attack and really let the shell sing out. When we play outside, they sound even better. Very much recommend these.
