Classic design provides a McCartney-esque sound

Remember that Paul McCartney started out with the Beatles as a guitarist, and indeed played quite a few of the guitar parts during the band's illustrious recording career. Paul got his Epiphone Casino in 1962, and immediately altered it for left-hand playing. His hands-down favorite guitar, can be heard on countless Beatles records, as well as much of Paul's post-Beatles recordings.

Construction components deliver incredible hollowbody tone

With its maple back, top, and sides, the Casino is primed for any style of music. From blues to jazz to rock and beyond, the maple body offers tones that are bright and snappy, but not harsh. Pair that with the set mahogany neck - which brings a touch of thickness and warmth to the tone - and you've got a well-balanced instrument for any genre. A rosewood fingerboard also adds to the overall tonality of this instrument.

Classic electronics provide a remarkable, versatile tone

A pair of single-coil P-90 pickups are the engine that drives the power of the Casino. P-90 pickups are unique, as they sparkle and shimmer when you pick gently, but they can get mean when you really lean into them. This puts you a myriad of tones at your disposal, including the patented Beatles jangle that was so prevalent across many of their classic tunes.

1960s SlimTaper "D" neck profile for smooth playability

Players worldwide appreciate Epiphone's 1960s SlimTaper "D" neck profile for its fast and smooth playability. Thinner than '50s-style necks, this neck profile stays out of the way of your fast lead playing, while still being substantial enough for comfortable rhythm playing.

Epiphone Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Maple body and mahogany neck provide incredible hollowbody tone
  • P-90 pickups for a remarkable, versatile tone
  • 1960s SlimTaper "D" neck profile provides fast and smooth playability

Sounds like John Lennon

I was trying to record some old Beatles songs last winter. I have about twenty guitars and nothing was right. I was looking at some YouTube videos of the Beatles and saw George and John both playing Casino's. I got on the iPad and ordered the guitar in natural of course and a case. Buyers remorse hit, like I got the small one. The coupe wasn't even around back then. The guitar came in perfect condition, I always replace stock strings and do a set up. The action as low as I can get them, on this Epiphone it was low. This guitar is really well made to handle a action to my liking. I ran it through my Vox and it was like Lennon or Harrison were playing. I recorded a few songs from Rubber Soul and Revolver. My Epiphone Casino was perfect for the work ahead of me and the fun that followed.

My favorite!

I have bought several guitars and amps from Sweetwater. They will do you right; so, if you are looking at this or any other guitar, it will be set up right and they will follow up. The Casio Coupe has the tone I love and the action is among the best I've ever experienced. I like my Strat, Epiphone ES-335 and Epiphone ES-339 Pro, but the Casino Coupe is my favorite overall. The guitar has a nice little feedback when you up the gain and it can be controlled to sweeten your sound on classic rock and blues. It does the Beatle's stuff excellent. It's not a metal guitar, of course, but everything else sounds beautiful though this guitar. Another plus is the reduced size of the Casino. It is so light you can stand for hours enjoying playing without getting shoulder aches and back pain. The guitar I have is worth much more than I paid for it. I'm not asking them to raise the prices, I'm just telling you this is the Cat's meow. It also stays tuned and keep those 10's that come with it; those strings are just right. Play one and buy it from Sweetwater!

casino coupe

Really like this guitar, plays very well right out of the box ( perhaps the sweetwater set up ) bang for the buck this is a very good sounding, very good playing guitar, plugged in or acoustic. This is not my 1st buy from Sweetwater, as always the service is second to none. It is unfortunate more companies dont treat their customers with excellent service. Out of 5 stars I would have to give sweetwater 12.
