Legendary tone from Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers

Tonal excellence is yours when you plug this Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul Standard into your favorite tube amplifier. It's loaded with a pair of Memphis Historic Spec (MHS) alnico humbuckers, which are based on '50s-era pickups and designed to enhance the sound of semi-hollowbody guitars, giving you the ability to dial in chiming country tones as easily as savagely distorted rock tones. The Alnico III neck pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from smooth jazz to dirty blues. Flip to the Alnico II bridge pickup, and you'll command sounds covering everything from bright and clean to raw and mean.

Rounded C-shaped neck delivers fast, smooth feel

Whether you're playing rhythm or lead roles, or even both, you'll feel right at home with the Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul Standard. Its rounded C-shaped neck's binding is rolled to fit more comfortably in your hand, while low-profile frets enhance playability and intonation.

One Hellaciously Fine Guitar

Having played Martins for years and more recently Strats, my Gibson ES-Les Paul Standard is one truly fine guitar. The beauty and craftsmanship of this instrument is surpassed by its tone and sonic variance. The rounded C-shaped neck is very comfortable and easy to negotiate. The only thing I had to adjust to was that the frets felt slightly higher than those that I was accustomed to. however it didn't take long for them to adjust. If you're looking for a great playing guitar, this is the one!

Best Gibson Les Paul for me!

I just received my Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul Standard and I love it more than any other guitar I own. I have a modern weight Gibson Les Paul Standard and this one is much better for me. I have chronic lower back pain and whenever I use my modern weight Les Paul I have to sit between songs to take the weight off my lower back. It's very difficult to play for long periods (when standing) because my lower back can't take it anymore. The ES-Les Paul has given me the ability to play in a standing position again. Not only is the weight right on (6.6 lbs.) it feels and sounds great. If you're looking for the classic Les Paul feel, go with this guitar. I bought my guitar from Jason Koons and all can say is he's the greatest! Thank you Jason and I look forward to many years with my new guitar. I'll be back soon!
