Semi-hollow response from a great-playing Les Paul

The Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul retains the timeless Les Paul look and gives it a new semi-hollow sound that fans of the Gibson Thinline series will take to immediately. Innovations like a full-sounding maple/poplar/maple body, a sustain-enhancing historic tubeless truss rod, and an ABR-1 bridge with titanium saddles give the ES-Les Paul an exciting new response at an unbelievably light weight.

Handcrafted in the Gibson factory on Beale Street

Nobody makes a semi-hollowbody guitar like Gibson. This superb Les Paul is handcrafted at Gibson Memphis on Beale Street for quality craftsmanship you can count on, and from a city who knows how blues should sound. Carefully selected maple and poplar tonewoods give the Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul a distinctly 335-sounding bark, and a carefully calipered body cavity with Adirondack spruce top bracing and center block give it its controlled howl and haunting sustain.

Legendary tone from Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers

The Gibson Memphis ES-Les Paul is loaded with a pair of 1950s-inspired Memphis Historic Spec (MHS) alnico humbuckers for an exciting vintage flavor. The Alnico III rhythm pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from smooth jazz to dirty blues. Flipping to the Alnico II treble pickup unlocks a brighter tone for sparkling chords to aggressive leads.

Love this guitar

I don't even know how to describe this guitar. Just play it unplugged or plug it into a good amp and hear it chime. Airy hallow soun is awesome. Most people find it similar to ES, I don't. I think Gibson created another legend on it's own. It doesn't replace an ES or aLes Paul. But it's a new monster on it's own. Very light weight but balanced. It feels great, you can play for hours without getting tired. It is a tone fest. Awesome cleans and ES like dirty tones. I can say this is my new favorite. Till now my LP Traditional was my top choice. I know this is the only guitar I can't live without. You need to know the neck is very narrow, if that's a problem for you. You need to play before you purchase. If you are a Fander person this neck will feel super tiny in your hand. Nonetheless you should try this thing. I fell in love as soon as I picked it up.

ES Les Paul

These are good guitar, except for the fact that the high E string is too close to the ends of the frets. Just a slight pull and the string dinks off the edge of the neck. A major flaw that many Gibsons have had as of late. Why did they start making this mistake in 2013? You'll have to ask them... Fix this problem and they'll have a great guitar to sell. Do not buy one without playing it first!
