Pretty good!

Mine arrived today undamaged (Sweetwater's use of FedEx Ground helps not damage things in my experience). This seems so far to be a solid rack, and good value. This thing requires TOTAL construction on your end. Absolutely none of it is pre-assembled. I am not the most technically adept person, at least as far as constructing things goes, so it took about 45 minutes to even figure out how to put it together, as the instructions are pretty vague, but I DID figure it out, and the rack is now in my studio full of gear. I am VERY happy that once it was constructed (which took another hour and 15 minutes) there were no unhappy surprises, so I am happy with this purchase. I like that unlike the racks that have a slanted top part, not only does the top of the rack have generous space to sit more gear on (I am going to put an extra set of speakers on mine), but also that the full rack can be used without gear hitting other gear. I would say this is a good purchase.

Success in Organization!

It came with some damage on the corners from the factory so I rated it a little lower. The guys at Sweetwater were awesome and took care of me, so it wasn't a huge issue, it's just nice to have new items that aren't prechipped, especially at the cost of the unit for being press board with laminate. In comparison to other options for rackmount cabinets though it was a fair price, it just seems that the cost is high for inexpensive materials (due to specialization maybe). The rack makes a huge difference in keeping things organized. With this much rack space I have plenty of room to plan out what's necessary, rolling shelf for my small board, places for my preamps, etc.It went together well, directions were clear, and the unit is nice.

Be warned

This rack was well packed by Sweetwater, so these issues are not their fault and this review only reflects Raxxess. The rack came with the composite chipped on a couple of corners and some of the holes were missing entirely or weren't drilled out in the base and the brace. Additionally, the rails themselves did not receive the Raxxess screws without some work loosening them first by screwing and unscrewing. I contacted their customer service and they completely unwilling to replace the parts and suggested instead that I return the entire unit to Sweetwater for a replacement after I had already unboxed everything and put some of it together. The bottom line is they product is poorly constructed to begin with and they will not back you up with any warranty support.
