    Does what it does

For a cheap rack unit, it's not bad at all. Assembles relatively well, and holds equipment like it should. Nothing special about this. It is dirt cheap, feels kind of that way, but as long as you don't have to move it around it should hold up well enough.

Solid, sturdy. Exactly what it needs to be

This unit is exactly what it should be. Solid materials. Sturdy as hell.

    Too Hard to Assemble

I like the appearance of this rack, and it meets my needs ... but I'm over 65 and don't own a power screwdriver. Younger people may find it easier to drive the dozen 2" long wood screws into the particle board, especially if you're a non-musician so you don't care about hurting your wrists. Me, I just plain can't put the unit together. The Sweetwater page ought to say "POWER SCREWDRIVER REQUIRED." I'd send it back for a refund, but I'd have to break it apart into little pieces to fit it back into the box. (I may do that anyway.) This is not a bad product in any way -- but you've been warned.

poor quality - screw holes didn't line up

The rack is shipped in parts, and has to be put together. This is fine, and is exactly what I expected. The problem is that the holes drilled in the pieces of wood are not properly aligned. When I screwed it together, the corners did not line up properly. Not a huge deal, as I just needed to rack up some components. This problem didn't impact functionality, but the rack wobbles on the table because it isn't perfectly square. I told SW about this, and they offered to replace it, but I didn't want the hassle of taking it apart, shipping it back, and waiting for the replacement

I needed a rack for my old Digi 001, compressor, and preamp with some room to grow. The ER-8 looks good, fits on my small side table and was easy to assemble. Nice product

Nice little box ... but, I do wish that it came with rails and screws

    Fits nicely in the corner...

Yep, just what you're looking at. An economy sized 8-unit rack. Sturdy wood and easy construction makes this a great buy for budget musicians.
Just need a desk or end table to set it on. (for easy access and visibility.)
