An acoustic guitar that is ready to shred

Ibanez got together with Steve Vai to create this updated model of the Euphoria acoustic-electric guitar. The thin guitar style makes the Euphoria comfortable to play, while the jumbo width gives it great acoustic tone. An ultra-playable neck is slightly thinner that traditional acoustic letting you shred with ease. Another thing that you'll notice right away is the unique cutaway that gives you complete access to all of the Euphoria 10's 24 frets; there's nothing in the way when you're soloing.

Fishman Aura electronics for amazing plugged-in tones

The Ibanez Euphoria 10 acoustic guitar comes equipped with a built-in Fishman Aura IC Preamp, featuring Fishman's popular Aura Acoustic Imaging Technology. This ground-breaking system reproduces the rich sound of a full-bodied guitar as miked in a professional studio, and onstage, thus eliminating the complicated setups of expensive microphones. Aura IC uses digital algorithms to create images of various microphones' captured sounds. Steve Vai helped create and shape each of the tones built into the Ibanez Euphoria 10 acoustic-electric guitar.

Classy looks and appointments

Not only does the Ibanez Euphoria 10 acoustic-electric sound good, it looks good too. A gold-colored Tree of Life inlay spans the length of the fretboard for a unique look that stands out. The soundhole rosette features a metal plate with Steve Vai's logo. Cool pearloid binding graces the entire instrument giving it a sharp and classy vibe. From amazing playing to killer looks, the Steve Vai signature Ibanez Euphoria 10 acoustic-electric guitar is a shredder's dream come true.

This Axe Is Nice and Sweetwater is MY Music Store!

First, Sweetwater must be acknowledged for living up to and surpassing their word when it comes to customer care! I had a mid range cut-away acoustic-electric guitar that had a quality issue that was discovered before a gig without enough time to get it fixed out here or at Sweetwater before the show. I ended up needing to return it, and was concerned with the time I had had it (but not been able to play it) making it not returnable despite the great care it had in my possession. My man Tyler Berggren arranged for the return at full purchase price and I was able to apply it all to this fine Ibanez Euphoria 10. Thank you for making this a good experience for me, I am elated with this new guitar. Now for the Ibanez Euphoria 10 itself. I will start with the Cons: I am not a fan of the D'addario EXP strings that Ibanez provides, and I never have been. I prefer Dean Markleys for acoustics. Anyway, I found that the combination of strings, their gauge, and the fret finish makes the strings feel sticky. That's my only gripe. For the good: Where to start: This guitar sounds great acoustically. I was expecting it to sound as thin as it's body, which is a full 2" thinner than a standard full dread size. I like to use a combination of finger picking and flat picking with some occasional heavy strumming and this guitar is able to take it and really project throughout that range. Slamming out old CCR is cake with a thick 1.14mm nylon pick and she fills the room. The cutaway allows for comfortable access to the higher frets and the neck has a nice thin cross-sectional thickness that makes it comfortable for shorter fingers to play. I don't shred, and Steve Vai is not channeling through my guitar, but plugged in, (to my new Carvin V3M - the M is for MONSTER) what can I say, except Wahoo! What FUN! I went through the clean channel and tried all 4 pre-amp settings noticing subtle differences throughout. It is like having 4 guitars to choose from including a Martin and a Gibson and my old cutaway Ibanez too. Want some more nice? The good folks at Ibanez made the output jack separate from the rear strap peg, so you can upgrade to a set of strap locks and never have to worry! Last, the fit and finish are beautiful. This guitar has a sound to match its bling, and it has got bling! Long have I been a sucker for abalone, and the binding on this integrates the abalone stripe on the face with a stunningly iridescent tortoise shell corner. The oval sound hole is no impediment to presence, and is accented nicely. The final cool effect is the antique-looking pearl dust be-speckled black finish. I have been telling folks since the '90's if you want a great guitar for a steal of a price, look at an Ibanez, you'll never find better value for your money. Overall a great
