    Nice Guitar

Wanted to learn to play guitar years ago but with job and family had to put that thought on hold, well it's time and I wanted a guitar with good looks and sound. well I ran across this one and after reading the reviews and hearing the sound I bought it, I'm a widower getting close to retiring now and wanted something a little lighter to make it easier to handle. Thank you Sweetwater, you Guys are Great.

    Les Paul ultra III

It's awesome all the features you get on this guitar.... and sounds great also. I would recommend this to beginners and solid players.

    Love this Les Paul

I got my Ultra 3 in two days ago and I was very scarred of the horror stories I read online about the low E string buzz when using the acoustic pickup. Well, when I got it, it did have this dreaded buzz. BUT, I looked up the original factory spec for string height, intonation and pickup height and adjusted everything to those specs. With doing that the buzz disappeared. there is another BUT though. The GAIN for the acoustic pickup on the back of the guitar will effect the low E string buzz. You need to adjust that gain to about half way. this will make the acoustic buzz disappear. Now, it is perfect. I absolutely love this guitar and the capabilities it gives. I play live nearly every weekend and alot of the songs we do should have an acoustic guitar in the background. Now I can do that. The fit and finish on this guitar is beautiful. Love the feel of the matte finish on the back of the neck. I use the USB port on my Mac/Garage Band and it works perfectly. Set this guitar up right, and you will love it.

    nice guitar!

i like this guitar. It is well made and pretty. There are no flaws, a well finished guitar which matched the picture od the one I ordered.
Some could call the nano pick up "tinny" or "chimmy" but it works well adding so many possible sound choices. The humbuckers are nice alone but combing the two is great for many things. If you use two amps you can play clean out of both or mix distortion and chimmy which gives a clarity to the sound.
Played out of one amp and you still get some great sound choices. I run the two outputs into two channels to record. Very versitle
can't comment on the usb use as I still haven't be able to spend the time with tech support to get it to work but will soon as it would be iciing on the cake

    Great guitar

After playing a Gibson Les Paul for $4,000.00, then playing the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III I could not feel any differances in the feel and action of the neck, plus the epipy has a accoustic pick-up and a built in tuner.
this is a great work horse of a guitar. I love it. But make sure you unplug it or the 9v battery won't be turned off.

    Great Guitar

Great guitar with lots of features. The best feature is being able to connect this to an acoustic amp and an electric amp at the same time. You can play either or at the same time and it sounds great. The only issue is a little fret buzz from the low E string due to the fretboard not being pleked.

    Problems from the factory

When I received it the action was poor. On the E string high A fret and up choked when bending up, but the rest of the strings on those frets were fine. After checking I found that the E string was lower than the radius should be. I replace the bridge with one from another guitar I own and it plays as good as my Les Paul and my ES 347 if not better. For some reason the electronics are not working correctly. The only pickup volume that works is the Shadow. There is a buzzing in the body or neck when low E and A strings are played. I noticed something rattling in or around the control compartment. I like the PUP's and I have to say I really like the "D" neck, I didn't think I would. I think this would be a great guitar if it would pass through the hands of a professional guitar player before being shipped from the factory. I will check the rattle and the sound problem out and I never did get the USB to work. It's not high up on my list The Shadow pickup is not good for acoustic but is fantastic for soloing, go figure. To be continued.
