Sweetwater's Plek upgrade and bone nut give you amazing playability and superior tone

This Epiphone Les Paul Ultra-III has been specially tweaked in Sweetwater's very own Plek Pro machine. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. And our addition of a genuine bone nut maximizes vibration transfer and tone. Add to that a custom setup, a set of fresh strings, and Sweetwater's extensive 55-point Evaluation, and right out of the box, the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra-III is bound to be one of the nicest-playing guitars you ever pick up.

Electric and natural acoustic tone in one

The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra-III features not one, but two pickup systems. The first system features a traditional humbucker setup featuring the ProBucker-2 and ProBucker-3 pickups, and the second system utilizes the Shadow NanoMag pickup. The NanoMag is a special body resonance sensor that lets you get natural acoustic sounds. What's more, you can blend the Les Paul Ultra-III's acoustic and electric sounds together to create rich and harmonically complex tone.

Loaded with ultra-high-tech extras

On the flip side, the Les Paul Ultra-III also features a built-in USB jack that allows you to plug directly into your computer. Quickly and easily dial in your perfect guitar tone with the free copy of Guitar Rig that comes with your Les Paul Ultra-III, then record to your favorite DAW. Another surprise in the Ultra-III is a built-in chromatic tuner mounted in the pickup ring. Turn it on, and tune your guitar anytime.

Made with genuine Les Paul quality construction

The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra-III is no slouch in the construction department. All materials are top-notch, including the chambered mahogany body, mahogany neck, beautiful AAA flame maple top, and rosewood fingerboard. This is no bolt-on-neck wannabe - the Les Paul Ultra-III's got a set neck, just like any classic Les Paul!

Epiphone Les Paul Ultra-III

Playable right out of the box. Great guitar.

Shocked beyond belief

I have been playing for twenty-five years. I have always played Strats and are forever and addict of them, this is something that will not ever change. But on occasion I dabble in other brands. My brother has one of those gold top Gibson Les Pauls. While it sounds great it just seem to be missing that comfortable players feel. I always felt like I needed to coax everything I could out of it to make it sound right. So I figured I'd get a cheaper more affordable Les Paul and see if I could work it out as I love the unbridled sound of a fresh Gibson product. So with some research I found the Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III in Midnight Ebony. WOW! The Plek'd out guitar played comfortable with very little personal adjustments. The sound rivaled that of my Brothers Gold Top. Actually given the choice and with the amount of time I practice this guitar is probably the single most comfortable guitar I have played. I believe I have found my main Les Paul guitar. Awesome product. My only complaint, and everyone has to have one of those is that the indicator light stays on all the time and you have to constantly disconnect the cable from the guitar. Also the acoustic control are hard to adjust if not impossible to adjust while playing in any position. Otherwise kudos to Epiphone for out doing their big brothers, Also, there is no better place to purchase a guitar from other than Sweetwater. Thanks for the candy.
