Sweetwater's Plek upgrade gives you amazing playability

This Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus has been specially tweaked in Sweetwater's very own Plek Pro machine. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. And our addition of a genuine bone nut maximizes vibration transfer and tone. Add to that a custom setup, a set of fresh strings, and Sweetwater's extensive 55-point Evaluation, and right out of the box, the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus is bound to be one of the nicest playing guitars you ever pick up.

Premium components deliver premium tone

As you can already tell from the choice tonewoods used, the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus uses premium components for a value-packed experience. On top of the quality wood and craftsmanship, the LP Tribute Plus packs two Gibson USA '57 Classic humbuckers - you read that right, Gibson USA pickups on an Epiphone! The '57 Classics are known for their wide tonal range and hot output, letting you go from smooth and clean to growling and mean. Plug into your favorite tube amplifier and get ready to conjure the essential tones for almost any musical style.

Push-pull tone controls for tonal flexibility

While the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus packs the looks and feel of a classic Les Paul, the modern electronics give you more tonal options than you'd expect. The '57 Classic humbuckers use 4-conductor pickup wiring, giving you access to series/parallel pickup switching with the push-pull tone pots. This additional tone-shaping capability makes the Les Paul Tribute Plus an incredibly versatile performer.

Absolutely Stunning

Not only does she look good, she's sounds amazing. While, I don't consider myself an expert by any means, the "extras" this Tribute Plus comes with set it apart from all my guitars. After experiencing a Plek setup, I am seriously considering having it done to all my guitars. The action is amazing. Additionally, I can really tell a difference with the Bone Nut upgrade. I have nothing but good things to say about this guitar, and in my opinion, this is an amazing value. I also have to give a huge shout out to Sweetwater and Jonathan Appleton. Their amazing customer service both before and after the sale is next to none. I am a customer for life.

Epiphone Les Paul Tribute Plus,Plek'd, Bone Nut Upgrade

Although the guitar arrived with a broken ton pot, which Sweetwater of course offered to repair, pay for shipping etc. Rather than risking more issues during transit, I had the pot replaced locally, and now this little beauty is an absolute joy to play. The plek'd neck was well worth the additional $$. My fingers feel so natural on the fretboard. The Midnight Ebony is stunning visually. I've got other guitars, Taylor's, Gibsons, Strats & Tele's, but I can't seem to get enough of this little wonder. Sounds so nice through my Blues Jr. and any other amp I've played it through. Already used it in a couple recording sessions.

Very happy

I've been playing guitar over four decades and own a lot of nice guitars both old and new, this is my fifth Les Paul, but my first non-Gibson. I was expecting to return the guitar once it arrived, and at first the tapered D neck shape through me off, but I played for a few hours that night and came to the conclusion that I had scored a truly nice Paul, with exceptional tone. The play-ability of the neck was astounding with the Plek'd fretboard, the tone driven by the '57 Gibson pickups and bone nut put a big smile on my face, and the ebony flame is quite beautiful. If you're looking for a Gibson Les Paul under $2,800, forget it, they cant meet the quality and tone delivered in this fine instrument.
Music background: Extensive classical training from an early age, started playing guitar at 16, have played in several fine bands in LA.

Epiphone, Believe it....

As I was looking through the Sweetwater catalogue some months ago, I noticed that Gibson had their version of The EPI Tribute Les Paul ( unplek'd and no bone nut) for more than a thousand $ more than the EPI.....knowing from experience that the EPI build quality is excellent, I saved myself some serious $ and bought the Epiphone. Right decision ! Quality was there and the addition of the Plek"d process was just short of astounding in play-ability. The Ebony is really beautiful, in different light it gives you the figured grain and in others it goes to black, a nice variety for your eyes. The "57" humbuckers are magnificently sweet, what a warm tone that can be energized through manipulation of the position swith and the tone controls to give you the " oh man wow..." sensation at each find. I have played it through a Fender 68 Custom Reverb ( a wonderful piece of equipment in it's own right) and a Mustang II v2 modeling amp so far and all I can finish with is that this is a steal of a deal ! Quality, value, so much fun......so, do it , get yourself one. and thanks Ben (Porter) for the great conversation before and after the ride....you are the best...RJ
Music background: I have been back playing now for about 5 years after after a few years of playing only occassionally. Some band experience years ago, love music ...play with my brother now several times a month and play at home almost every day.

Only way to buy an epiphone

Ready right out of the case! Action, intonation, everything! Nice job Sweetwater! Absolutely worth the extra bucks. Still 1/3 the price of Gibson. Thanks again Sweetwater and Ben Chamblis for a great transaction. Fast delivery. Friendly service! Brenda loves the candy.
