Vintage recipe for classic tones

This Epiphone Les Paul 100 sports a mahogany body with a maple top, a mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and two humbucking pickups. It's the recipe the Les Paul has been based on since its introduction in the '50s, giving you the same tonal prowess and exceptional sustain that made it a permanent icon.

Perfect for beginners

Beginning guitarists will love the slimmer design of the Les Paul 100. It has a just-right feel when sitting down and isn't too heavy when played standing. And whether you're buying your first electric guitar or helping someone else start their musical journey, why would you want to just get something to play on for six months before getting a "good" one? The Les Paul 100 is affordable enough for beginners, but it also has the tone and feel you'll never want to let go of.

Who plays Les Pauls?

The list of famous artists that choose Les Pauls is epic: Jimmy Page, Slash, Jerry Garcia, Frank Zappa, Alex Lifeson, Zakk Wylde, and on and on. Now think about how different all of those guitarists' signature tones are. The Les Paul won over the world with its ability to conjure a seemingly endless variety of sounds, mojo, and texture. I originally ordered this guitar on Amazon, and it came defective, bad 1st fret buzzing across all strings. I was able to return it no problem, but DID NOT want to go through that again. So, I called Jim Watson at Sweetwater. Not only did he take the time to talk about the guitar and even get to know me, they literally inspected it, put on MY FAV strings, and set the intonation. I GOT THE GUITAR NEXT DAY FOR FREE! The guitar looks just like a classic Les Paul, or upper end Gibson Les Paul (this is a division of Les Paul), and sounds incredible. I just started playing guitar a few months ago, but have been drumming and in a band for 25 years, so I do know my gear. I didn't have to spend over $350 for a guitar that looks and sounds as good as one that is a couple grand! It plays beautifully! Don't get me wrong, as I progress, I do intend to go with a GIBSON LES PAUL, but this is a great starting point for me and a great second guitar. The Epiphone line is fantastic! Sweetwater MADE MY WEEK! Thanks Jim! You really came through for me!

this guitar is SWEET

Want an excellent ax at a very affordable price? This is it. Very playable with good selection of tones. It looks plays and sounds great. Thank you Sweetwater for putting another awesome guitar in my hands. If you haven't been to their store you need to check it out. They have racquetball courts a swimming pool, even a restaurant and more that I didn't have time to see.

The Great Les Paul 100

I played one chord on this guitar and I was blown away. This guitar is an amazing deal, in looks, feel, and sound. The pickups give the classic warm Les Paul humbucker sound, the neck plays very well, and it looks awesome. This is like a real Les Paul for a tiny fraction of what you can pay for a real one, and I highly recommend it to anyone, beginner or pro.

Just Plain Awsome

I have had this guitar for over a year, and it has not let down one bit. Action and tone are incredible for the price. Perfect for beginners to intermediate players. Change the strings to some Ernie Balls, and you got yourself a guitar.

Another great Epiphone

This is my fourth Epiphone from Sweetwater. Like the others, I am totally pleased and satisfied. The fit and finish are flawless, and the electronics are true and accurate. It is rapidly becoming my favorite. After a few minor adjustments to the neck and bridge, some good quality strings, and a week or so for the neck to settle in, this Les Paul plays and sounds like guitars that cost 3 or 4 times as much.
