About Les Paul

Much of what we enjoy about modern music and guitar playing can be traced back to Les Paul. His recording career as a solo artist, and as a duo with Mary Ford, generated multiple hit records. He invented the use of multitrack recording and guitar looping and was an early pioneer in the use of reverb and delay. But his most iconic work was done with the solidbody electric guitar. And the sound of music changed forever when Gibson put the Les Paul into production in the early 1950s.

Beautiful appointments

The Les Paul Custom 100th Anniversary Outfit is dressed up for a birthday celebration. Its truss rod cover, Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece, and Grover Imperial tuners are decked out in 24K gold for a regal look. The headstock and fretboard are inlaid in a combination of abalone and pearloid for an attractive contrast to the flame maple top. And this attractive instrument is capped off with a sparkling Zirconium stone inlaid in the dot of the "i" in the Epiphone logo.

The two ProBucker humbucking pickups in the Les Paul Custom 100th Anniversary Outfit are designed at Gibson's pickup factory in Nashville, Tennessee. These pickups are re-creations of the classic Gibson PAF pickups that are so sought after. Sweetwater players immediately noticed that they offer the same powerful midrange and crystal-clear top end of great vintage Les Pauls. And push-pull pots allow you to split the coils to access bell-like single-coil tones.

Epiphone Les Paul Custom 100th Anniversary Outfit

Great Guitar, nice action, Great pickups, single-coil or humbucker pull-push selection, Gorgeous headstock, nice tuners, beautiful Natural maple top finish, a real tribute to Les Paul. Great sound and playability ! The only upgrade I would do is to "Pleck" the frets, and polish the frets for noiseless bends. Great customer service from Jed and the team ! Phil

epiphone les paul custom 100th aniversary

This guitar is as advertised. Great fit and finish. I have guitars that cost hundreds more and the quality of this guitar rivals them all. I can't speak to reliability as I just got it. The service at Sweetwater was second to none. The instrument plays well and the pro buckers sound great. I was a little concerned about buying a guitar made in china. If you like this guitar buy it I don't think you will be disappointed.

Epiphone Custom

Ron Unwin-NY I love my Epi-Les Paul, boy what a great sound played through my Fender Twin Reverb amp w/D120F JBL speakers. Also has that great feel and sound of the Les Paul at a fraction of the cost . has the best blues sound I have heard in a whileThe neck is a smooth play and coil-splitting a quick change when needed. I have the Alpine White Custom--looks are fantastic. Changing strings and adjusting the neck or intonation on the bridge is quick and simple. I have several Epiphones and Gibson Les Pauls and I love the difference in play on all of them. You cannot beat 'em, take my word. Ihave been playing guitar on and off in bands and alone for 52 years. buy any of them, I guarantee you will not play any other guitar as much as a Les Paul. Yours truly, Ron.

Love it!

I have the Antique Natural. I had to wait nearly 6 months for it because it was on back order. It’s the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen. The workmanship is flawless. Honestly, the pictures really do not do it justice. It’s absolutely stunning. I get more compliments on this guitar than I can count. I’ve piddled around on an acoustic for years, but this is my first brand new electric guitar. I’ve started taking lessons and when I walk into my local music store with it all the guys want to see my Epi. It’s like dating the head cheerleader or something. :) And it doesn’t just look beautiful it sounds beautiful too. Easy to play, with week-long sustain and great tone. If you want one buy one with no fear. You’ll love it!

Epiphone Les Paul

I have the natural, looked at the cherry but the natural just called to me. These limited edition Epi's are really excellent, I have a 355 and another LP and they are just excellent. I like this one better than my 2014 Gibson LP! The pick ups sound great too! I tried it with my Code 25, and two 100 watt heads one with 6L6 and one with EL34's and it sounded great with all of them. This guitar has great sustain and playability. I had to do a set up, but you can't ship a guitar half way around the world and expect it to be set up out of the box. Besides I always put my favorite strings on anyway. It comes with a really good case, fits perfect, rugged enough, and good hardware. You do not have to spend 3-4 times more money to get a great guitar, well worth it and a great value. It is definitely a keeper!
