Premium audio-grade components

Emerson Custom uses only the highest-grade components in their EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive pedal. They chose to go this extra mile for you to provide ultimate clarity and signal response from your guitar rig. So when you need top-of-the-line performance and pro-level sounds, make sure you give the EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive a shot.

Run it on 9 or 18 volts for optimizing your rig

Running the EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive at 18 volts is the optimal way to get its peak performance. But Sweetwater guitarists know that sometimes our pedalboards run on a power supply that can only supply it 9 volts. You'll still be good to go. At 18 volts you'll receive the most headroom and touch responsiveness. But the EM-Drive can still perform at an amazing level when running in 9-volt operation. So no matter how you choose to power your Emerson Custom EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive, you're covered.

Emerson Custom EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive Pedal Features:
  • High-quality, transparent overdrive pedal
  • Use to add a slight boost or warm OD to your sound
  • Handpicked, quality components for premium tone
  • Runs on either 9 volts or 18 volts for your preferred method of power
  • 18-volt operation delivers more headroom and touch response
  • Handwired construction
Get smooth overdrive with the Emerson Custom EM-Drive Transparent Overdrive pedal.

Great Overdrive

Great pedal! As close to what I wanted that I can get at a great price. i out this before a transparent compressor; joyo "pipebomb" and together I get what I want. Can't wait to put an distortion in between. I love it on my G&L tribute fallout. I'm sure I'll love it on my epiphone junior too. It turned out better than I thought it would.

Can't go wrong

This is by far my favorite overdrive pedal. I use it as my first stage overdrive so I keep it fairly light, but you can get higher gains. It is very transparent, which is super nice too. I absolutely love this pedal. You can't go wrong with it.

The more a person gets into pedals, two criteria are usually evaluated for a new addition to the signal chain: How does it change the frequency response ? and how does it play with the guitar, effects, and amp? On frequency response, the EM Drive lived up to it's billing. I plan to use it at the end of my chain as a boost when I need to get out in front of the mix. On playing well with others, I had a lot of fun running a Strat into an EH Big Muff Fuzz, into the EM Drive, and finally to a Hot Rod Deluxe. I am happy with the drive and recommend it to others. I also need to give praise to Sweetwater. They seemed to be as excited as I was to get the pedal, and made sure it got here fast.

One of the best transparent overdrives on the market today. In certain setups this pedal can take away a little bit of top end, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And it sounds absolutely killer as a Bass guitar overdrive as well. Definitely a good pedal to have in your arsenal. Emerson does things the right way.
