Well, I ordered another ESP M1 and decided that in order to make this guitar even better was to add a EMG 60 pickup to the neck position by the tech shop at Sweetwater. I received the Guitar and was absolutely blown away by the Guitar and the incredible work that was performed. The neck pickup, extra volume knob, and selector switch were all installed perfectly. The Guitar and work done is flawless. This is the finally the Guitar i have been waiting years for. The satin finish, ebony fretboard, controls and everything else are exceptional. Thanks Sweetwater!!!

I like the straight forward no nonsense metal specific design of this Guitar as well as the satin black finish, sweet ebony fretboard with contrasting abalone dot inlays that look like they almost light up. I also like the string thru design with fixed bridge I love the locking tuners for fast and easy string changes. The neck is awesome as it is unfinished and allows you to glide up and down the neck effortlessly. I'm a big fan of the EMG 81 pickup and lack of tone knob. While I don't use the neck pickup much, I do wish it had one. The ashtray style battery cover is a nice touch opposed to the standard cover with the two screws. Overall it is a great high quality axe and I can recommend it highly.
