Fantastic metal machine
Beautiful guitar with incredible playability. Everything about it feels top end. Just a joy to play. Now all that being said this guitar in my opinion does one thing and does it well and that is metal/shred. It sounds incredible for that style of music. I don't particularly care for it when playing rock or pretty much anything else. I have a Les Paul and a Strat for that stuff. Pickups are a bit sterile/modern sounding for "vintage" tones. That's not what this guitar was made for...... and it plays so easy and fast. Beautiful, well made guitar.
Silky smooth
Pleasantly surprised with how well this guitar fells. It's slick as glass, smooth as butter and effortless to play. Even with the floss neck, it's so smooth. Nothing at all sticky about this neck. I've had several higher end guitars and this axe takes the cake. Absolutely love it! The color is beautiful in person. When the sun hits it you can see all the wood grains. The black binding is subtle but really sets it off. The cleans sound good. The EMGs definitely push the clean channel, but still very responsive to attack. You're not going to get crystal cleans out of it. That's probably not why you're buying it anyways. But still impressed with this axe on the mild side all the way to the wild side! I really can't say enough about the fit and finish. The neck is incredible
Magical
This is as good as it gets. Beautiful flamed finish, smooth fret work, and it stays solidly in tune. This instrument feels so precise and easy to play. Top tier quality from ESP's Tokyo factory. This is the guitar I reach for over and over. I even got the other version of this guitar that does not have the finish on the neck.

Awesome guitar
Have had the E II M II for 8 months and it has been my go to guitar ever since. the quality and workmanship of the guitar are of "custom" standards and it plays like a dream. Neck is very comfortable and easy to navigate. Highly recommend the E II.
Almost perfect!
This guitar would be the ultimate shredder/metal machine if it didn't have the neck painted. What an unnecessary feature!! Nobody wants to get their fingers stuck in the neck, poor choice from ESP.
